My name is Joao Correia I'm a freelancer Sound Recordist / Boom Operator based in London. I am a graduate in Film Making and I have over five years of experience as a Sound Recordist / Boom Op. In the past I have worked with renowned directors such as Luis Moya , Luis Diogo , Michele Fiascaris among other small and large projects to report and Sound supervision on the London Film Academy Film-making Foundation Course shoots.

I provide location sound recording and boom operating services for features, shorts and corporate shoots. ´

I am well versed in several Sound equipment and have a good knowledge about the different process and procedure involved to bring the most qualitative product in a particular media production.

I know and comply with all safety procedures and I know how to use the equipment in a safe and controlled manner.

I also know how to keep maintenance up on the equipment and how to make simple adjustments when needed to keep it working at full capacity.

I have the experience needed to determine microphone placement to ensure the best sound quality is achieved at all times. This also includes the placement of the audio cables to prevent interference from the electrical cables.

I believe in working in team. I am a creative person and highly motivated. Good work flow, easy integration in multi-tasking teams. Open minded, innovation and open dialogue are the main personality features I value and identify myself with.
