As a lecturer, and at the same time holds an administrative position in the university, image plays a significant role. In career professionalism, it is essential for me to always deliver good performance and high value academic leadership. I have maintained a very good relationship with people around me. I judge myself as an easy-to-cooperate by nature in all aspects. The positive persona has also appealed others to collaborate and work together with me, which is a welcoming outcome.

The trust given to me lead me to administrative roles shortly after joining the university, as Postgraduate Programme Chairman at School of Manufacturing Engineering, Deputy Director at Centre for Industrial and Governmental Collaborations and currently as Director at Centre for International Affairs and my appointment as a University Senate Member.

I have also been involved in various posts as committee members in UniMAP, which not only acts as a proof of acknowledgement/recognition of my skills and knowledge, nonetheless a reality of positive perceptions towards myself by others, be it academicians, supporting staff or even students.

S E R V I C E T O U N I V E R S I T Y

• Actively involved in teaching and learning for both undergraduate and postgraduate level at School of Manufacturing Engineering.

• Responsible for three different positions in administrative roles during my service (Director Centre for International Affairs (current position), Deputy Director Centre for Industrial and Governmental Collaboration and Postgraduate Programme Chairman at School of Manufacturing Engineering) has exposed me to the structure and administration in the university.

• Dynamically involved in curriculum structure, curriculum review, assessment and CQI. • Involved in industrial networking, managing industrial attachment for student. • Involved in managing student mobility, student pass application, international networking, and

international student activities. • Involved in research activities local and international level; award winner in various exposition.

My involvement in community service predominantly in research area focusing on school students to postgraduates’ level. I have been an active consultant in terms of being a judge in research and innovation expo at international and national level. I have been invited for knowledge sharing in research activities at different platform (school, college and university).

Apart from that, the involvement in the University Social Responsibility (USR) project between the residents of Kampung Raja Congah, Perlis has had a tremendous impact. Product such as letter boxes produced by students were distributed to the villagers.
