Objectives To find a leadership position in the retail industry Profile After graduating from UC Berkeley in 1999 with a degree in Socio/cultural anthropology, I entered the burgeoning bay area start-up world managing all assets of an online corporate training marketplace. That presence was acquired by a brick and mortar agency where I continued to support leadership and ISO standards training. In 2004 I took the opportunity to delve into passion projects; music composition, performing, and DJing, as well as adding to my HTML and Photoshop knowledge by designing websites utilizing Adobe InDesign. Enjoying working with customers, I began my retail career that year. I was soon after recruited by Marc Jacobs where I was promoted store manager and then general Manager for the San Francisco stores. I really flourished in the fast pace and the variety of overseeing all aspects of a high end clothing and accessories store including customer service, clienteling, sales management, running inventories, and logistics. In 2013 a major life goal was met when I was transferred to manage Marc Jacobs’ flagship Italian store in Milan. I dealt with an International clientele, learned Italian, and my passions for culture, food, and travel were indulged. During this time I also continued my interests in photography and music composition.
