During the month, I report directly to my line manager and am individually responsible for weekly duties. Prime responsibilities at month end include the following: Preparing and processing rebate reports for some of the largest account holders across Scotland. Preparing journals for posting, and providing back-up to support journals. Being responsible for nominal codes, reconciliation of ledgers ensuring that any movements within the transaction ledgers can be traced to accruals. Preparing and presenting overhead cost analysis reports on business assets which are then used to update monthly management packs. Examples of key responsibilities during a typical week include the following: Accumulation of rebate reports for company clients. University Accounting Projects; Strategic Accounting; Scot-herbs Ltd. Working with a local company to produce reports based on the strategic advantage of using KPI’s. Other techniques included activity based costing, activity based management and linear programing. Decision Analysis and Control; Dundee FC. The general concept of the project was to increase revenue streams where I developed some importance Excel skills. A presentation was required. International Financial reporting; Working with exchange rates, dealing with risk, hedging funds using forward market and money market hedges, computations using spot and forward rates. Calculating ENPV and NPV of investments. Advanced International Financial Accounting; Extensive work on Hofstede and Gray’s theories on cultural influences in financial reporting and the global adoption of the IFRS > GAAP. Skills; Excellent communicator > Working relations. Intermediate excel user > Problem solving. Methodical & analytical approach to work load.

• Accumulation of rebate reports for company clients.• Coding inbound invoices for proper allocation, preparing custom outbound invoices and/or checking recharge prices.• Internal auditing for company segments (price & weight checks)• Assisting management, purchase ledger, credit control and customer services with financial queries.• Liaisons with operatives to communicate financial information.• Ensuring cost KPI’s spread sheets are constantly up to dated.• Reconciliation of customer and company rebate reports. • Analysing large amounts of cost data preparing accurate and understandable reports. Timely completion of ad hoc requests from management. General day to day finance operative tasks.

In general, this position has allowed me to gain vital experience within a busy, fast paced and challenging finance environment. I cope and work effectively under pressure ensuring I complete all my tasks with a great deal off accuracy and in a timely manner.
