Responsible for the security of the ambulance, its equipment and supplies. Ensures equipment on each ambulance is stored in a safe manner and when

complying fully with traffic laws and EMS policies. In the event of a vehicle accident involving the ambulance, the EMS will comply with all statutory requirements.

Shall not change or alter any work or vacation schedules unless approved to do so by the In charge.

Promotes a team approach within the ambulance services and ER departments.

Assists in the ER department under direct medical control of an ER physician, Paramedic or ER nurse.

Assists with the Triage Desk duties. Assists the ER physician with the triage of patients, in the case of any

disaster. Assists the ER medical staff with the transfer to other locations within the

hospital where justified.
