About NIHR is non-profitable, independent of any political and
religious affiliation, non-governmental organization was
founded in 2005 by a group of activists who are interested in
establishing the basic principles of human rights, democracy,
citizenship and peace building and targeting (children, young
people and women) particularly the most vulnerable of them
over the long term in various regions of Iraq.

Vision: Effective, independent, and free civil society, enjoys human rights,
democracy, citizenship, and peace.
Mission: An independent NGO, non-profit, developmental, works on the
dissemination and strengthening of the culture of human rights
and democracy, citizenship and peace-building for (children,
young people and women) and target the most vulnerable of
them over the long term in various regions of Iraq.
Objectives:
1. First objective: to increase knowledge and skill on human
rights culture and monitoring and documenting, in addition
to reporting, and this culture is built on international
legitimacy.
2. Second objective: to facilitate the active participation of the
community to spread and strengthen the culture of
democracy and citizenship and peace-building and advocacy
for its accession.
3. Third objective: to encourage dialogue and consultation
between governmental institutions and NGOs and
community members to create a favorable political
environment for the application of not activated legislations
and laws, rules and regulations.
4. Fourth objective: to create a balance between the rights and
duties of members of society by providing emergency
responses and restoring stability to the IDPs and
immigrants, in addition to the returnees.
