    !The Superior Physician !

  • !!!!!!!!!!LingShu Ch 8 Ben Shen

The five zang organs store jing, they must not be injured, if injured they no longer protect, yin becomes empty, empty yin there is no more qi, no more qi then one dies.

    Suwen, Chapter 5.

Heaven has four seasons and five elements to generate, grow, gather, bury and produce cold, heat, dryness, dampness and wind. Man has five organs which produce five qi for transformation: euphoria, anger, sadness, thought and fear. Euphoria and anger injure the qi, cold and heat injure the body.

    Suwen Ch. 14

Desires with- out limits and worries without end consume jing, cause nutritive qi to congeal and defensive qi to be expelled; it is then that the shen departs and the disease is not curable.

    Suwen Ch.62

The causes of disease can originate in the yin or the yang. Wind, cold, and summer heat originate in the yang (injure the body). Diet, life style, euphoria and anger (all emotions), yin and yang (sexual relations) have origin in the yin.

Zhuang zi The Heart-Mind [Xin] has the position of the ruler. The roles of the nine orifices are shared out as those of the officials [guan]. If the Heart-Mind [Xin] holds the Way [Dao], then the 9 orifices will

follow their natural pattern. But if the taste and desires give way to excess, then the eyes will no longer see and the ears no longer hear. So it is said If the ruler diverges from the Dao, then the subordinates will fail in the their tasks. Dont listen with your ears, listen with your mind. No,dont listen with your mind, but listen with your spirit. Listening stops with the ears, the mind stops with recognition, but spirit is empty and waits on all things. Dao gathers in emptiness alone. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
