Tuesday 3rd February: Chinese as a Native Language/Mandarin as a Second language

Tuesday 3rd March: Mandarin as a Modern Foreign Language/ Mandarin as a second Language

We would like to invite parents to take part in discussions with us about our Mandarin Provision. This is, in part, to present to parents the rationale behind our current mandarin provision but also to listen to parents about how they perceive our Mandarin programmes, so that we can use their views to inform our planning for the development of our provision.

Two questions set for the forum:

- What are the key outcomes you want from your child’s Mandarin learning at DCS?

- In terms of the current DCS Mandarin programme, what works well and what do you think could be even better? For each category, we’d be grateful if you could offer five points in a ranking order.

For the meeting, there will be a number of small group conversations with each table led by a member of the College Leadership team. The number of groups will be determined by the number of parents attending.
