Notes for Gillespie McDougal (Lack) Pait: Lack, as G.M. was called, received from his father what is known today as Four Lane Farm, which is owned today by cousin, Docia Butler Bryan. He built his home on the West sidd of NC 131 and the north side of Center Road. It was a large, sturdy home with five outside entrances. It stood until around 1990 when it was struck by lightning and burned. Lack was a sussefull farmer and also a carpenter. He gave the land to Center Road Baptist Church on which they built their first church building, and the second one also.
