In the magazine world we are always talking about the forthcoming season and it can be diffi cult to imagine warmer days and pretty spring blossoms when you are actually in the middle of the bleakest month of the year January. Thankfully bridal designers have a permanently happy disposition, as I am sure will agree when you feast your eyes on the new collections for the coming year.

If I had to describe the coming season in just one word then it would be romance. Think corsets, soft layers, ruffl es and lace. Victorian fl air oozes from many collections. Colour is also a key ingredient as gold, taupe and grey make a welcome appearance and demure silhouettes become more apparent.

With so much on offer for every bride to be, we have put together our top 20 favourites for inspirations and ideas. In other news, we at Diamante are proud to announce our Spring Bridal Fayre at The Coal Exchange on Sunday 15th April. Tickets are available to buy online at www.diamantebridal.co.uk Finally for all those brides to be good luck and have a great day!

One thing that women of all shapes and sizes, from the most petite to the big and beautiful, have in common is that the lingerie they buy must make them feel wonderful about themselves. That means sexy, sensual, desirable but most significantly, special. When your special someone turns off the television because he noticed you in your sexy lingerie, it’s a definite plus and ego-boost.

Modern women of today consider their lingerie as an important part of their wardrobe. Online shopping has made it very easy, and opened up a new world for finding lingerie that is sexy, exotic and remains comfortable to wear. There are a few simple tips to bear in mind when shopping for lingerie so you will always look wonderful and feel great.

Even though all women are beautiful, there are those times when you just require something a little extra to make you sparkle, and lingerie can do that. Fashion and comfort go together like peaches and cream. Choosing the right lingerie for you may take a bit of practice, however, since there is such a tremendous range of styles available. Remember, sexy lingerie does not have to be uncomfortable.

Pictured are a gorgeous selection from Leia Lingerie Choose from designer lingerie brands such as Fauve, Simone Perele and Elomi. With exquisite detailing, intricate design and silhouette enhancing structure, these fabulous pieces are perfect for bridal wear and will make you feel fabulous.

There are a number of ways nowadays that your hands and nails can look immaculate and yet stylish on your special day. A woman may be lucky enough to have naturally beautiful nails, which means a simple manicure and polish will be suffi cient to bring your nails to their natural glory.

However, not all of us are that lucky and may need a little extra help to look our gorgeous best. Alternatively, many brides may prefer to have a nail treatment which means that they need not worry about nails breaking or polish chipping. Tru Gel, Shellac, Gellish are three most well-known brands of UV 3 nail polish. This is UV set nail polish which doesn’t need drying time as it dries under LED or UV light, is non-chip and should last up to 2 weeks. It is very easily removed.

Nail wraps can offer you a fantastic and instant look without the worry of any chipping or smudging like the traditional nail polishes or mani-cures. This treatment can be applied a few days before the wedding, allowing you to concentrate on fi nalizing any issues that crop up before the big day. Nail wraps normally last about 7 days but will require some care. (They will last a lot longer on the toes).

There are many designs to choose from, although as the bride, you may wish to go subtle and understated, perhaps with a little bit of sparkle, leaving the wedding band to take centre stage. Leave the leopard print design to the mother of the bride!

Another option, is to have your own design in acrylic painted on your nails, sealed with a glossy top coat. The choice is yours – perhaps yours and your partner’s initials? What a talking point for the close up shots of the photographs of the rings.

If your nails are short, bitten or generally not nails you would want to show off on your big day, help is at hand through nail enhancements in the form of nail tips or sculpting. These can be acrylic, fabric (silk or fi breglass) or UV gel. One way is by having a UV gel applied to your nail. This gel is applied by a brush to the nail then cured under a UV Light. The nail is then fi led and buffed to shape when a fi nal layer of gel is applied thinly to seal the product and provide a long lasting, non-chip shine.

Average refi ll is 2-3 weeks, although some may fi nd that their nails last much longer. If removal is required, the gel is easily removed or grown out.

Or you can have acrylic nails applied. An Acrylic is the combination of powder and liquid applied to the nail, then left to harden in its own time, which is fi led and buffed to shape. Just like gel, acrylic nails can be a fantastic way to have a French polish look which does not chip and the effects will last an average of 2-3 weeks before requiring infi ll.

Whichever method you decide on for your special day, Nail Training Academy can help. We provide all the above treatments and are happy to discuss your requirements with you, accommodating you at our premises in Whitchurch or by visiting you at your home. Please contact Sian at www.nailtrainingacademy.co.uk

Congratulations and good luck on your big day.

A brides hands will be on display both during the ceremony and afterwards. No bride wants to be embarrassed at the condition of her nails and hands as people admire her wedding band.

Top to toe guideThere are dresses and cake to choose, the venue and reception to book… There’s so much for the bride to do before the wedding, but don’t forget that when the music rises to a crescendo and everyone turns to gaze at the bride coming down the aisle all eyes will be on you. By planning a beauty strategy, you can not only turn heads, but feel serene and confident, too. Here are some tips for looking and feeling your best on your wedding day.

HairWhether you’re planning an up-do, a twist, or silky and swingy, get to the root of healthy hair. Here are some ways to nourish hair inside and out.

1. Get your Bs Experts believe a diet rich in vitamin B helps bring out hair’s natural shine. Foods such as fish, nuts and eggs will give you a head start on healthy hair. 2. Give your hair the royal treatment An invigorating scalp massage and deep-conditioning treatment about four weeks before your wedding not only feels good, but stimulates hair follicles and adds volume. 3. Trim your tresses Remember that once your hair gets split ends, no product can repair the damage, so get your hair trimmed routinely to keep it vibrant.

The Beauty Spot

Inner Beauty To get that head-to-toe healthy glow, start on the inside.

1.Eat right Make sure to get five servings of fruit and veg daily to maintain a healthy weight, and vibrant skin and hair tone. 2.Exercise daily A regular workout routine will improve circulation and erase the effects of stress. 3.Cut down on caffeine, salt, sugar and grease These foods can cause weight gain, stress and bloating.4.Drink water Hydration keeps digestion running smoothly and helps with feeling good. 5.Take your vitamins A daily multivitamin can work wonders on anything from indigestion and insomnia to frayed nerves.

MakeupYou don’t want to look like a clown on your wedding day: These tips will help you put your best face forward.

1. Experiment with a good makeup line. A test run of make up will ensure it’s right for your skin type and that it doesn’t cause your face to break out. 2. Moisture first, application second. Apply a moisturizer before putting on make up. Find a good cream foundation that covers beautifully and smooths flaws in your skin. 3. Conceal dark circles. A concealer for dark circles under the eyes will help you look rested. 4. Use waterproof mascara. No one wants Panda eyes on their wedding day, so use a waterproof mascara that won’t smudge or smear.5. Keep it natural. In general, more natural-looking make up will give you a fresh and timeless look for photos. 6. Choose a bright lip colour. Pale or muted brown tones can make you look washed out in photos, especially if you’re wearing white. You can wear a neutral hue as a base, with a pink or rose colour on top, or choose a darker lipstick as a base and apply a lighter sheer pink on top to give you a lift.

To achieve healthy, glowing skin:

1. Start a skin care routine about six months before the big day.

2. Get a facial every four weeks to clear up any problem spots and slough off old skin cells. 3. Don’t get a facial too close to the wedding day. Most experts warn against getting a facial within 10 days of the wedding day. 4. Stay hydrated! Drinking plenty of water, especially the day before and the day of your wedding, will make your face look dewy and radiant. 5. Steer clear of salty foods the week before your wedding. These foods can cause water retention and swelling around the eyes.

Top to toe guideThere are dresses and cake to choose, the venue and reception to book… There’s so much for the bride to do before the wedding, but don’t forget that when the music rises to a crescendo and everyone turns to gaze at the bride coming down the aisle all eyes will be on you. By planning a beauty strategy, you can not only turn heads, but feel serene and confi dent, too.

Foods such as fi sh, nuts and eggs will give you a head start on healthy hair.

1.Eat right Make sure to get fi ve servings of fruit and veg daily to maintain a healthy weight, and vibrant skin and hair tone.

2. Moisture fi rst, application second. Apply a moisturizer before putting on make up. Find a good cream foundation that covers beautifully and smooths fl aws in your skin.

When selecting your engagement ring the stone is always a main factor, but there is another aspect that can individualise this important item of jewellery and that is the stone setting. Here are some of them.

An unusual Setting

Cluster setting The cluster setting usually consists of one large stone (usually round or oval) in the centre surrounded with several smaller stones in a figural design such as a flower or butterfly. It is designed to cre-ate a beautiful larger ring from many smaller stones.

Channel SettingA channel setting is a ring style where the stones are set into the band itself, usually in a continuous line. These settings are very popular for anniversary bands and men’s wedding bands, but would make a unique choice for an engagement ring as well. While many engage-ment rings include accent stones in a channel setting, a ring that uses solely this type of recessed setting would be quite unusual. Prong setting

The prong setting, sometimes called a claw setting, is the most commonly used gemstone setting and is especially popu-lar for engagement rings. The diamond or diamonds are held securely in place by either two (shared prong), four, or six metal prongs. The diamond sits high off of the finger and therefore shows off the diamond best. It allows the maximum amount of light to reach the diamond, ensuring maximum amount of sparkle.

Bezel SettingBezel settings hold stones in place by using a metal ring instead of prongs. The metal ring completely encircles the stone and embeds it into the setting. A bezel set engagement ring is perfect for the woman who leads an active lifestyle or never removes her ring. The stone is more secure and the ring less likely to be damaged.

Pave SettingPave setting engagement rings feature diamonds or other stones encrusted into the band, making the entire ring appear to be made from precious stones. These exquisite settings can be quite expensive, however, and to avoid a higher price couples can consider using semi-precious stones to pave the ring.

Tension setting As a newly popular

choice for engagement rings, the tension

setting gives the gemstone is com-pressed between the metal band to keep

it firmly in place. The tension setting is perfect for hard stones like diamonds, sapphires and rubies, as they’re the only gemstones which can withstand the large amount of pressure that’s required to keep the stone in place.

Honeymoon Hotspots

Planning to tie the knot anytime soon? If so, you may be thinking about where to take your honeymoon (in our minds,

the best part of the whole planning - besides shopping for the dress of course) because unlike any other vacation

you’ve probably taken, this one is going to be the ultimate. Choosing top honeymoon destinations for 2012 wasn’t

easy. We wanted to include a variety of places to suit every couple.

ANGUILLA- Viceroy Anguilla

A round-up of honeymoon destinations isn’t complete without

including a Caribbean island. Anguilla is on our list thanks to

the gorgeous white sand beaches, turquoise waters, laid-back

attitude and stylish hotels. It’s no surprise this is a getaway

that’s seen the likes of celebrities like Beyoncé, Sandra Bullock

and Brad Pitt. Our choice for the perfect retreat is the uber-

stylish Viceroy Anguilla. On 35 acres and plenty of beachfront,

the interiors have been designed by Kelly Wearstler and the

accommodations feel totally private. The ultimate has to be

the One Bedroom Blufftop Villa complete with private pool,

outdoor shower and butler service. And don’t forget to visit the

two-story spa - pure indulgence!

JAPAN - HOSHINOYA Karuizawa, Japan

For those seeking something out-of-the-ordinary, Japan is one

of those honeymoon destinations that is truly memorable. While

there’s nothing quite like the bright lights and busy streets of

Tokyo, but taking a trip into the more remote areas of Japan,

like the Hoshinoya Karuizawa resort in the Kitasaku District is

the ultimate escape. Wait until the sun sets and you can watch

the floating lanterns on the river outside your bedroom window.

The Mizunami villa is ideal if you want to be beside the water

and is styled with traditional Japanese furnishings. A perfect day

would include an eco tour, relaxation time in the hot springs and

dinner at the authentic Japanese restaurant.

LAKE COMO

Located on what is considered one of Italy’s most beautiful lakes, Villa

d’Este on Lake Como was once a playground for royalty, eventually

transforming into a luxury hotel in 1873. Set on 25 acres of lush

gardens, this resort is not only full of art and history, but delectable

cuisine, top-notch service and gorgeous views at every turn. Plus

there’s an onsite spa, fitness centre, golf course and plenty of water

activities to enjoy — like waterskiing, sailing and canoeing. With

traditionally-styled rooms decorated with oil paintings, period

furniture and brocade linens, you’ll really feel like you’ve stepped back

in time the moment you arrive. Don’t worry, they’ve included modern

amenities like satellite TV and Wi-Fi. And only 1 hour drive to Milan,

you can get your shopping fix before you hop on the plane home.

NAPA VALLEY

Napa Valley is really the perfect destination to turn things down

a notch and enjoy the good things in life — especially good food

and wine. Nature lovers too, will appreciate the lush landscape

and abundance of outdoor activities. When choosing where to

settle in, Calistoga Ranch in Upper Napa Valley offers all of the

essentials any honeymooning couple could want. They offer

48 free-standing lodges, perfectly styled in a rustic, yet modern

fashion with floor-to-ceiling windows, fireplace, private outdoor

garden shower, over-sized bath and outdoor deck. The resort

also offers a spa, nestled into the woods, a gourmet restaurant

overlooking the lake, yoga classes, an outdoor heated pool and

140 acres of land to explore.

Editors ChoiceIf there was ever a miracle product, Moroccan Oil is it.Hair experts Coray and co have been using the Moroccan oil for over 12 months. Mark Coray says that this is without doubt one of the must have hair products in the last 10 years.

On curly/wavy hair you can get such a shiny, oil free, sleekness which lasts longer than anything else I know in it’s market place, and seems to the best thing ever in, humidity or rain.

A 5ml application is what a average head of hair

needs. 4 to 5 pumps from the bottle. On squeaky clean, towel dried hair ( this is initially a worry ,,,,That much oil,,, on my hair!! O M G will my hair, look like a chip?.... NO), like a moisturiser, you do not just leave it on the surface, you must work the oil into the hair, the ends, middle lengths and then eventually, to the roots. With the heat of the dryer it then seems to sink into the hair’s cuticle, from the surface leaving it oil free. Mark said he found it fantastic, for evening-out the porosity of the hair, during colouring and bleaching. Go on treat yourself!

Lens TrendsThe Experts Let Slip The Most Fashionable Photography For 2012...

Your wedding album will house the memories of one of the most treasured days of your life, so it’s crucial to get it right. The right pictures can help bring to life the very emotions, atmosphere and thoughts of that special day.

Though trends may come and go, the traditional album style has always lingered. According to David Edwards of David Edwards Photography, there has been an increasing demand for the traditional look. “Although we offer contemporary albums, we’ve seen a significant shift back to a traditional style of wedding album”.

Another important element to consider is the style of photography. The once popular heavily styled and processed photography is beginning to give way to a more relaxed look that’s both honest and fun. This helps enrich your wedding album with the true emotion and narrative of your unique day. Jake Morley of Jake Morley Photography insists that there has been an increased interest in this relaxed, natural style of photography: “A lot of people are opting for laid back shots that steer away from forced poses. This lends an editorial feel to the photos, that, with the addition of wild flowers and natural settings adds an enchanting, vintage edge to wedding photos.”

The digital revolution is also an important factor to consider when it comes to your wedding snaps. John and Gail of Photo Evolution point out that this movement is constantly pushing and blurring the boundaries of visual media: “The latest cameras are able to capture both video and stills. The most important change for us has probably been the ability of cameras to work in extremely low light without resorting to using flashguns. Being able to photograph in dimly lit churches and venues in an unobtrusive way is invaluable to our style of photography.”

These elements, when mixed with your unique style for the big day are sure to guarantee you a wedding album that you, your friends and your family can cherish and enjoy foreve

The Braun Series 7 was developed for the man who

demands the very best in high performance from his auto-mobile to shaver. The shaver combines Sonic Technology, which leverages over 10,000 micro-vibrations to deliver comfort and closeness, with OptiFoil, Braun’s most advanced foil that has zones with differently sized holes to capture hairs growing in

A revolution in your own bathroom, Purefi sh 3 in 1 Shampoo breaks the shampoo mould. It cleans your locks

but contains crafty conditioning agents so you don’t get that fl uffy, just washed look - ensuring you look cool not cute. As an added bonus it even contains in-gredients to help prevent a fl akey scalp. Just wash, rinse and you’re good to go!

4711 Eau de Cologne was created in the 1800’s and worn by both sexes and

continues to be a popular unisex scent today.

Notes of bergamot, lemon & orange revi-talise and uplift your senses and rosemary & lavender bring a warmth to the scent without making it overly fl oral or fe-male. Neroli, rounds off the fragrance with a soothing effect and promotes positivity.

Vera Wang for Men Deodorant Stick gently and effec-tively fragrances the skin. Vera Wang for Men is a rich and warm masculine fragrance that begins with an un-expected burst of freshness created by green mandarin leaf and crisp yuzu zest. This is built on a chunky and luxuriously deep and enveloping embrace of nutmeg, leather and anise, and fi nished with a smooth blend of sandalwood and warm tobacco.
