The 2plus1 was designed for the modern urban family. Two adults and their child can sit in comfort while reducing congestion and emissions in this innovative electric

vehicle. It provides a dynamic motorcycle-l ike driving experience while protecting its occupants and optimizing the usable space on a the road. Features such as

separate gullwing doors per occupant and a tiny footprint gives this vehicle an edge over the competition.

The Caterham Spirit was my interpretation of Humber’s “Brit ish Light Car” project. Caterham has been making the Seven since the 1970’s and I felt l ike it could be a

great opportunity to design a vehicle that would capture the essence of the original car but in a modern, and daily driveable form. The Spirit keeps a strong connection

to the “track car” soul Caterham is known for with its removable hard top and pup-up wind deflector.

Talini is a snow vehicle designed with l imited mobil ity users in mind. The need for a safe and easy way of transportation for people with disabil it ies in Canadian sub-arctic

regions dictated the outcome of the design. Talini offers independence for users who require transportation in snow struck vi l lages and freedom for those seeking to

explore the great Canadian winter outdoors.

The brief was to design a chair with given materials and an assigned Toronto’s neighborhood. With fabric and steel tubing as primary materials, the team designed and built

three lounge chair prototypes for the Young and Dundas Square. Vivo then won the 1st place award along with 2nd place People’s Choice at the Insitu Chair Show.

Working in an interdiscipl inary team, an exhibition display was designed to be erected at the 2014 National Home Show for Humber College. The final proposed design followed a

restricted budget, included all design programs of Humber College and integrated Humber’s new marketing language.

Team members: Natalia DeCarvhalo, Kourtney Rapp, Kayla Burke

The exhibition design was inspired from lane-way housing language with huts and tight spaces. A trai ler, which carries some of the display pieces, would also transform to take

part in the exhibition as a “creative tunnel”.

Working directly with Bayer, teams had to come up with a Point of Purchase display using their products. The final concept used a modular concept to sell Aleve branded

medication. The Up’n Leave is fast to set-up and uses all shipping material, leaving no waste.
