猶大王希西家－王下 18:1-8

2 Kings 18 : 1 -8Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign. 2 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah. 3 And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father David had done.

1 以色列王以拉的兒子何細亞第三年，猶大王亞哈斯的兒子希西家登基。

2 他登基的時候年二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母親名叫亞比，是撒迦利雅的女兒。

3 希西家行耶和華眼中看為正的事，效法他祖大衛一切所行的。

2 Kings 18 : 1 -84 He removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan.5 He trusted in the Lord God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him.

4他廢去邱壇，毀壞柱像，砍下木偶，打碎摩西所造的銅蛇，因為到那時以色列人仍向銅蛇燒香。希西家叫銅蛇為銅塊。

2 Kings 18 : 1 -86 For he held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following Him, but kept His commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses. 7 The Lord was with him; he prospered wherever he went. And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him. 8 He subdued the Philistines, as far as Gaza and its territory, from watchtower to fortified city.

6 因為他專靠耶和華，總不離開，謹守耶和華所吩咐摩西的誡命。

7 耶和華與他同在，他無論往何處去盡都亨通。他背叛、不肯事奉亞述王。

• Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord his God, as his father David had done.2 Kings 16:2 & 3他登基的時候年二十歲，在耶路撒冷作王十六年；不像他祖大衛行耶和華－他神眼中看為正的事。（王下 16:2-3 ）

3 CALLED THINGS BY THEIR RIGHT NAME V.4

• He broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan他…打碎摩西所造的銅蛇，因為到那時以色列人仍向銅蛇燒香。希西家叫銅蛇為銅塊（直譯：尼忽士但）。

• Nehushtan – several interpretations – a piece of brass 尼忽士但－有幾個解釋－銅塊

4 PUT HIS CONFIDENCE IN THE RIGHT PERSON V.5(a)

• He trusted in the Lord God of Israel 他倚靠耶和華以色列的神

• A personal faith in His God個人對神的信心

• You – trust in Jesus 你－信靠耶穌

• Put your confidence in Him你要倚靠祂

5 WALKED IN THE RIGHT PATH V.6

• For he held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following Him因為他專靠耶和華，總不離開

• Where He leads us那是祂引導我們的地方

• Following – gradual progress – going on with God 跟從－漸進－與神一起繼續走

6 OBEYED THE RIGHT WORD V.6(b)

• He kept His commandments, which the Lord had commanded Moses. V6(b) 他…謹守耶和華所吩咐摩西的誡命。

• He also heeded Isaiah the prophet他也聽從先知以賽亞的話

• We now have God’s complete word – The Bible 如今我們有了神完整的話－聖經

7 SHOWED THE RIGHT KIND OF INDEPENDENCE V.7(b)

• And he rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.他背叛、不肯事奉亞述王。

• He would not serve an enemy of God (tempted to-at first)他不肯事奉神的敵人（起初受誘惑）。

• Are you a rebel? 你是個反叛者嗎？

• Make sure you rebel against God’s enemies and not against God.要確保自己反叛神的敵人而非神。

• The Lord was with him; he prospered wherever he went.耶和華與他同在，他無論往何處去盡都亨通

• Assyrian king Sennacherib besieges Jerusalem亞述王西拿基立圍困耶路撒冷

• the Angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in a single night. 耶和華的使者在一夜間，殺了十八萬五千個亞述兵。

• Hezekiah sick 希西家患病

• I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you.我聽見了你的禱告，看見了你的眼淚，我必醫治你。
