8.1 SYSTEM DEFINITION

8.3 PRODUCT DEFINITION

TOP LEVEL ASSEMBLY: STANDARD

The Top Level Assembly shall consist of : 1. ViewSonic Digital Photo Frame 2. Cable Package

VSE) 3. Quick Start Guide (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian,

Korean and Traditional Chinese) *Applicable power cord is shipped with the DPF to the point of destination.

8.4 MASS PRODUCTION RELEASE

Mass Production Approval Mass Production (MP) shall not begin until ViewSonic has issued a signed Mass Production Release Document.

Component Approvals All exterior plastic components, screen printed components, labels, shipping cartons, protective foam, diskettes, CD-ROMs, and printed material require approval from ViewSonic prior to MP Release.

Product Unit Serialization The S/N for each unit is unique and must provide tracability. For each product unit produced it is required that the S/N loaded on the units EDID (electronic S/N) code must agree with the information on Rating Label and the UPC label affixed on the Carton Box.

Demonstrated Reliability Prior to Mass Production Release, it is required that demonstrated MTBF to be greater than 50K hours using a combination of DVT and PVT units after the test reached to 20K hours, the finished good can be shipped out. A minimum of n=5 units is required for this test.

8.5 CHANGE CONTROL

Engineering Change Orders ALL Engineering changes to the product, regardless of how minor, shall be approved in writing by ViewSonic and processed per the current change control procedure. There are no exceptions to this rule, unless an emergency situation exists, thereby requiring VS verbal approval then followed by official document approval.

8.6 SERVICE

Documentation / Service Manual

Bills of Material, RSPL (Recommend Spare Parts List), Schematics, Service Manual, and Assembly Drawings shall be provided within one month of Mass Production Release. Vendor shall provide in depth Service Training of the product and coordinate agreed schedule prior to MP release.
