Dr. Morteza Namdar has completed a thirteen months International Clinical Fellowshipin Interventional Neuroradiology (FINR) at our Department of Neuroradiology fromOctgber 1",2010 unti l October 31",2011.

During his training, Dr. Namdar has attended the neurointerventional procedures andtaking active participation in the overall management of patients including clinicalvisits. He regularly attended clinical lectures and other academic activities of theDepartnient. He was also extensively trained on neurovascular models in our angio-laboratory.

Dr. Namdar has acquired knowledge in the pathophysiology and natural history ofneurovascular disorders, indications and contraindications to neurointerventional pro-cedures, skills in the clinical and technical aspects of their implementation andfamiliarity with other therapeutic alternatives. He has a good understanding of pre-and post-operative management of patients and understands basic sciences related totechnical aspects of neurointerventions and radiation safety.

Dr. Namdar showed a great interest for this field as became evident from the way helearned to analyze the images and the technical aspects of the procedures.

During his training, Dr. Namdar has attended over 420 neurointerventional procedures in-cluding AVMs, aneurysms, cranial dural AVFs, tumor embolizations, spinal AVMs and spinaldural AVFs, carotid stenting, intra-arterial fibrinolysis and mechanical thrombectomy, super-selective WADA, inferior petrosal sinus sampling, temporary and permanent balloonocclusions, embolization of skull base tumors and craniofacial lesions.

Dr. Morteza Namdar has completed a thirteen months fellowship in Interventional Neuro-taäiology under the international fellowship program at our Department of Neuroradio-logy f rom October 1 ", 201 0, to October 31", 2011 .

During. his training here, Dr. Namdar attended all neurointerventional procedures andtook active participation in the overall management of patients including clinical visits.
