Dr. Berdzuli is an obstetrician/gynecologist and public
health
professional with over 12 years of experience in
development,implementation and monitoring of maternal and newborn
healthprograms and policies in countries of Middle East, Central
Asia andEastern Europe. For the past 10 years, Dr. Berdzuli has
been at theforefront of an effort developing, testing and
scaling-up facilitybasedapproaches for improving quality of care,
influencing policy and theimprovement of obstetrical care services,
and implementing innovativeperinatal health care improvement
programs. She has undertakencollaborative research in maternal,
perinatal and neonatal health ina number of developing
countries.
