Letter from Geoworld® founder and president,

Dr. Stefano Piccini

dear Friends, You can say that i have the best job in the world. after all, my passion is my work. what started out as a fossil-cleaning workshop in my garage 31 years ago has evolved into a truly international business which is spreading our mission of “Bringing the past into the Future™” all over the globe. our museum-quality dinosaur and fossil replicas and other educational products continue to fascinate aspiring geologists and paleontologists of all ages. they bring out the child in all of us, our enthusiasm for discovery as well as our innate curiosity for the natural world. these values never go out of style and our dedication to them keeps Geoworld strong.

this year is an exciting one for Geoworld!we have a new spokesperson in the Geoworld family, whom you will get to know on the following pages! Meet dr. steve. he, like me, is a paleontologist and geologist. For our young adventurers, he is also a storyteller, a citizen of the world, a friend, and a partner in adventure. For parents, he, like the Geoworld name, is a symbol and visible reminder of what makes our educational products different from the others. each and every one is backed by over 30 years of real experience and scientific research in the field, along with billions of years of history!

let the adventure begin!

stefano piccini, geologist and paleontologist president, Geoworld

HEY THERE! I’M REALLY GLAD YOU HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REACH ME… RIGHT THIS

MOMENT I NEED A HAND WITH THIS EXCAVATION!

GRRR!

AH AH! DON’T WORRY ABOUT BABYREX. THE SCALY PEST ALWAYS DOES THIS WITH NEW-

COMERS!

YOU KNOW, FOSSIL AND MINERAL MYS-TERIES HAVE ALWAYS FASCINATED ME… EVER SINCE I WAS YOUR AGE! I USED TO KEEP EV-ERYTHING I MANAGED TO

DIG UP! AND EVER SINCE THEN I HAVE NEVER STOPPED:

NOW I’M GLOBE-TROTTING IN

SEARCH OF SPECIMENS TO UNEARTH AND I TAKE PART

OF ALL THE MOST IMPORTANT EXPEDITIONS. AS SOON AS I FIND OUT ABOUT A NEW DIS-COVERY, THERE IS NOTHING THAT STOPS ME: I’VE GOT TO

GO THERE AND START DIGGING TOO!

AND WITH GRIG, MY MULTIPURPOSE TRIKE, I CAN

REACH ANY EXCAVATION SITE ON THE PLANET! THIS WAY, BESIDES RECOV-

ERING VERY IMPORTANT RELICS,I LEARN A LOT ABOUT THE

PREHISTORIC WORLD… AND THAT’S NOT ALL!

WHAT’S MORE, MY INCREDIBLE VEHICLE CAN TAKE ME TO ANY ERA OF THE PAST! WHEN I GET CURIOUS AND WANT TO SEE THE LIVE CREATURES THAT LEFT THE FOS-SILS BEHIND, ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SWITCH ON MY TIME-PULT AND BAM! THEN…

IT’S TIME TO TRAVEL IN TIME!

UNLUCKILY THE EFFECT OF THE TIME-PULT ONLY LASTS THIRTY MINUTES, BUT THAT’S LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO SEE EXTRAORDINARY THINGS… EVEN THOUGH I ALWAYS NEED TO BE A LITTLE CAREFUL.

WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE, I DON’T WANT TO END UP WITH ANOTHER STOWAWAY FROM A DIFFERENT AGE WHEN I COME

BACK TO THE PRESENT. ONE IS ENOUGH, RIGHT, BABYREX?

GRONNNK!

YOU’RE RIGHT! THE PURPOSE WAS ALWAYS

MY EXCAVATIONS… AFTER ALL!

THAT’S WHY I HAVE DECIDED TO BE-COME A GEOLO-

GIST AND A PALE-ONTOLOGIST!

Page 9: Dr. Steve Hunters - Spring 2015

IN ALL THESE YEARS, I HAVE DUG UP SO MANY FOSSILS AND MINERALS THAT I’VE EVEN STARTED MY OWN COLLECTION, JUST LIKE I USED TO DO WHEN I WAS A KID! ONLY, THIS ONE’S MUCH, MUCH BIGGER!

AHH, YOU WANT TO KNOW WHERE IT IS, EH? WELL, MY PER-SONAL RELICS…

I TAKE THEM HERE, ON THE WILD TAURIAN

ISLE, TO EXAMINE AND CATALOG THEM IN THE PEACE OF MY LABORA-TORY RETREAT! THERE

IT IS: I CALL IT …HUNTERS’ HUT!

AND A BIT FARTHER AHEAD…

THERE IT IS: THE HIDDEN CHIVVY DALE

VALLEY, WHERE THE FANTASTIC MUSEUM OF GEOLOGICAL WONDERS IS LOCATED - I

BUILT IT WITH THE HELP OF MY COLLABORATORS AND IT IS

ALMOST READY FOR ITS INAUGURATION!

IF YOU’RE CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW MY RESEARCH IS PROGRESSING, JOIN MY TEAM OF ONLINE FRIENDS AND YOU CAN BECOME A

GEO-KID! I NEED YOU TOO, TO BRING THE PAST INTO THE FUTURE!
