High-tech in central surveil-lance technologyAfter the control room Hohenems, the tun-nels (ASFINAG- and state tunnel) and traffic engineering systems around Vorarlberg were equipped with state-of-the-art information and transmission technology, all system in-formation became immediately available for the operation staff. More than 145,000 data points and 396 camera images are brought together, processed and presented in a clear format on a video wall via large-screen pro-jectors. For the operation there are two sepa-rate multi-monitor operator stations, each with 16 monitors, a supervisor station and roughly 230 clearly-arranged process pictures availa-ble. From there the operation of the systems is carried out and, if necessary, the emergen-cy forces will be contacted.

Wichtige Ereignisse werden aufgezeichnet und gespeichert. Zusätzlich besteht die Mög-lichkeit, bereits geschehene Ereignisse spä-ter aufzurufen und bei Bedarf entsprechend zu analysieren. Erstmalig und richtungswei-send für zukünftige Projekte haben wir hier mit dem Produkt XAMControl die neueste Systemtechnologie unseres Tochterunterneh-mens evon erfolgreich zum Einsatz gebracht.

Hightech in der zentralen ÜberwachungstechnikDurch die Neuausrüstung der Überwa-chungszentrale Hohenems, der Tunnelan-lagen (ASFINAG- und Landestunnel) und der Verkehrstechniksysteme im Bereich Vor-arlberg mit modernster Informations- und Übertragungstechnologie stehen dem Be-dienpersonal wesentliche Systeminforma-tionen blitzschnell zur Verfügung. 145.000 Systemdatenpunkte und 396 Kamerabilder werden zusammengeführt, verarbeitet und in übersichtlicher Form auf einer Videowand via Großbildprojektoren dargestellt. Für den Betrieb stehen zwei voneinander unabhän-gige Multimonitorbedienplätze mit je 16 Mo-nitoren, ein Supervisor Arbeitsplatz und rund 230 übersichtlich gestaltete Prozessbilder zur Verfügung. Von dort aus erfolgt neben der Be-dienung der Systeme bei Erfordernis auch die Kontaktaufnahme mit den Einsatzkräften. Wer Qualität kennt, baut sie!

Ein Meilenstein Das Realisierungskonzept beinhaltet die ge-rätetechnische Ausstattung und Möblierung von definierten Betriebsräumen, sowie die Erstellung des Bediensystems, der Prozess-leittechnik und der Prozessvisualisierung. Darüber hinaus erfolgt die Anbindung von Be-standsanlagen via Schnittstellen auf Betrieb-sebene und Prozessleitebene. In der Überwa-chungszentrale Hohenems werden die Daten gesammelt, verarbeitet und visualisiert. Somit wird an dieser zentralen Stelle die lückenlose Überwachung und Steuerung des gesamten Überwachungsbereichs gewährleistet.

Innovationen in derÜberwachungstechnologieIm Rahmen innovativer Überlegungen zur Modernisierung und Zentralisierung des ös-terreichischen Verkehrsüberwachungsnetzes wurde von der ASFINAG ein professionelles Betriebsmodell entwickelt und standardisiert. Dieses Modell sieht möglichst einheitlich aus-gestattete, zentral situierte und durchgehend besetzte Zentralen vor, die das gesamte ös-terreichische Autobahnnetz lückenlos über-wachen sollen. Ein wesentlicher Bestandteil dieses Modells ist die Überwachungszentrale in Hohenems. Im Februar 2011 erfolgte der Startschuss für die Realisierung, im Juli 2012 konnte der Vollbetrieb in der neuen Warte auf-genommen werden.

Innovations in surveillance technologyAs part of its innovative concept for the mo-dernisation and centralization of the Austrian traffic network, ASFINAG developed a profes-sional, standardized operations model. This model envisions uniformly equipped, cen-trally located and continuously staffed control rooms whose function is a comprehensive monitoring of the entire Austrian highway net-work. A key component of this model is the central control room Hohenems. The project was started in February 2011, and by July 2012 the control room was in full operation.

A MilestoneThe realisation concept includes the technical equipment and furnishing of defined opera-ting rooms, as well as the creation of the ope-rating system, process control and process visualisation. In addition, the connection of existing facilities is arranged via interfaces at the operational and process control level. As the processing, control and visualisation of all information is carried out in the control room Hohenems, this central point provides the complete monitoring and control of the entire highway network.
