    1. Purpose

    The POS  for Duchess Fashions is an integrated set of functions that enable thecompany to conduct of its business. The various modules are used by different

    groups.

    2. System Context

    The POS system will be a Desktop system. All data will reside on a central server.Report reside also an online server.

    3. System-Wide Requirements

    The system must support the following non-functional requirements.

      99% uptime

      Response time – 1 second page load  Hi performance Network

      Hi performance System Machines

      Hi-speed Internet connectivity (dedicated)

      Stable system backup storage

      Necessary software backup etc.

    4. Technical Architecture

    The following technical architecture illustrates the layered architecture that will be

    used to implement the integrated solution.

    The implementation will be accomplished through a standard model-view controller(MVC) which enables abstraction between the key components of the user interface,

    the business logic and the data. This approach reduces the time and effort to modify

    the system as requirements change.

    5. Development Tools

    The C# languages and SQL Server with necessary libraries and components will beused to develop the system.

    6. Required Infrastructure

    6.1. Network

    Duchess will provide the all necessary POS Equipment’s and infrastructure to enableconnectivity between client workstations and the central system server. The

    communication channel provided will enable transmission control protocol accessfrom all sectors to the server either through local area network connections or

    through virtual private network connections.

    6.2. Server (Minimum Requirements)

    The following describes the requirements for the server machine:

    Hardware   Data Storage Device 

      Backup Data Storage Device Operating System Windows 2008 Server Enterprise or

    above version

    Web Server Internet Information Services (IIS)

    Database System  SQL Server 2008 or above

    7. System Documentation

    All the application software shall be backed by system operational documentationand any elaborate technical documentation will be satisfied by MASHTECH

    Bangladesh as requested.

    8. Product Support

    8.1. Support and Service plan

    System support will be provided for a 6 months, commencing on the productionimplementation date of the software. This includes troubleshooting of the delivered

    only software, not hardware or operating systems or any other equipment or

    application.

    The following support will be provided under the plan:

      Response as early as possible.

      Contact person for support service – One dedicated support contact

      Version / Upgrade continue provide.

    8.2. Support Schedule

    Support of the POS system shall be provided working day per week during the hours

    of 10.00 AM to 3.00 PM local time.

    8.3. Support Methods

    Telephone support is available during the support schedule as needed. There will be

    one dedicated contact to initiate support process. On-site support will be providedthe day following a support request.

    9. Installation, Testing and ImplementationPrior to production implementation the system software will be delivered and

    installed by MASHTECH Bangladesh on the Duchess Fashions server. Individualsidentified by Duchess Fashions will test the system and validate the functionality

    outlined in this document within 3 business days. Once this testing is complete, alldefects will be reported to the representative from MASHTECH Bangladesh. Defects

    will be resolved and a final installation will take place at Duchess Fashions.

    10. Training Plan

    10.1.System Administration Training

    System raining will be provided for a total of 3 full consecutive days. It is Duchess

    Fashions responsibility to identify attendees and to make them available for the

    entirety of each training day. Training will be conducted at the location of the serverfacility. The training schedule will be mutually agreed to between MASHTECH

    Bangladesh and the Duchess Fashions 2(Two) weeks before production

    implementation.

    10.2.Maintenance Training

    Training regarding maintenance functions will be provided for a total of 2 fullconsecutive days. It is Duchess Fashion’s responsibility to identify attendees and tomake them available for the entirety of each training day. Training will be conducted

    at the location of the server facility. The training schedule will be mutually agreed to

    between MASHTECH Bangladesh and Duchess Fashions 2 weeks before productionimplementation.

    10.3.User Training

    Training for system users will be provided for a total of 5 full consecutive days with

    each training session lasting for a single day. It is Duchess Fashion’s responsibility toidentify attendees for each session and to make them available for the entirety of

    that training day. Training will be conducted at the Duchess Fashions. The training

    schedule will be mutually agreed to between MASHTECH Bangladesh and DuchessFashions 2 weeks before production implementation.

    11. Terms and Conditions

    Delivery The production implementation will commence 12 weeks

    after the final agreement has been signed, at which time

    the software will be delivered as well. Training willcommence after production implementation is completed.

    Acceptance period Project completion and project acceptance will occur by

    either written acceptance from the Duchess Fashions

    Responsible person or after 90 working days following the

    completion of User Training, assuming no problems orissued are communicated to MASHTECH Bangladesh by the

    Duchess Fashons Responsible Person.

    Scope  The scope of the work will be limited to that defined in thisdocument. Any changes to the functionality of the system or

    other MASHTECH Bangladesh support will be considered as

    a change request to this document. It must be submitted inwriting by the Duchess Fashions Responsible Persons to

    MASHTECH Bangladesh, at which point the request will be

    evaluated with potential impacts to the cost and/or scheduleof the project.

    Confidentiality  Both parties agree to not release any information,

    intellectual property or software provided by the other party

    to another other entity.

    Offer validity this technical proposal will remain valid for up to 1 monthfrom submission.

    12. Enhancements

    Any changes requested to the system by Duchess Fashions not described in this

    document will be considered enhancements and thus outside of the scope of thisagreement and the associated pricing. These requests may be submitted by theResponsible Person to MASHTECH Bangladesh. In turn, MASHTECH Bangladesh willprovide a written statement of work, proposed schedule and cost estimate for review

    and acceptance Duchess Fashions. 

    13. Warranty

    This contract includes a one year warranty commencing on the production

    implementation date of the software. During this time period, if any defects areidentified in the software that was provided in the course of satisfying the statement

    of work described in this document, MASHTECGH Bangladesh will incur the cost ofsystem changes and upgrades at the Duchess Fashions server facility.
