我們司鐸的話 Words of our Parish Priest
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
October is known as the month of the Rosary because on
the 7th of October we celebrate the memorial of Our Lady of
the Rosary. Apparently, dedicating one day of the month for
this much loved Catholic prayer has inspired many to continue
praying the Holy Rosary throughout the whole month.
Therefore, Christian piety has named the month of October
the month of the Rosary.
During this month, we pray the Holy Rosary together in
church before the Anticipated Sunday Mass on Saturday
evening, and before every Mass on Sunday. As members of
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, we must pray the Rosary even
more fervently because, in her apparitions 160 years ago at
Lourdes, the Blessed Virgin Mary also recited the Holy Rosary
together with Bernadette and encouraged her to pray for
sinners. We have remained sinners ourselves and we must
recognise that sinners are found not only outside but also
inside the Church. We must acknowledge humbly the
need to pray for the conversion of sinners in both
fields.
October is also the month dedicated to
promoting the Mission of the Church. The
third Sunday of October is known as
Mission Sunday. That Sunday we pray
for those who haven’t heard the Good
News of the Gospel. We pray also for
missionaries who help to spread the
Good News around the world. We must
be reminded that as baptised members
of the Church, we all are missionaries
and need to share our faith with those
around us, and that we must pray for and
support the Mission of the Church.
Hong Kong is one of those places
where missionaries from diverse countries
come to preach the Gospel. Both of us, priests
working in this parish, are members of missionary
communities that came to Hong Kong from distant
countries and different cultures. For many baptised, however,
there is no need for them to leave their own countries to be
missionaries, yet they can share their faith in letting others
know that they are faithful believers in the way they practice
their faith.
The following three months will be quite busy, for us in our
parish, in preparations of the various activities towards the end
of the year. Let us not forget the need of praying to God that
He may help us to overcome evil with good deeds, and rejoice
with the Good News about the love of God for us all.

親愛的主內兄弟姐妹，
我們稱呼十月是玫瑰月，因為我們會在十月七日
慶祝玫瑰聖母紀念。而選擇十月的一天去慶祝這位備受
寵愛的天主教代禱者，是希望更多的教徒在整個十月裡
繼續唸玫瑰經；為此，虔誠的基督徒們都稱呼十月為玫
瑰月。
在這個月裏，我們堂區將在每一台週六提前彌撒
和主日彌撒前一起誦唸玫瑰經。作為露德聖母堂的一份
子，我們應該更熱切地去誦唸玫瑰經，因為160年前聖母
在露德顯現時，聖母和伯爾納德也一起唸玫瑰經，聖母
並鼓勵她為罪人祈禱。我們仍是罪人，我們也必須承認
罪人不只是存在於教會外，也存在教會內。我們也應謙
卑地明認我們要為所有教內外的罪人的悔改而祈
禱。
十月也是特定為教會的傳教
月。十月的第三個主日是傳教主
日。這天我們將特別為那些還未有
機會接觸福音喜訊的人們和在世
界各地傳揚福音的傳教士祈禱。
作為領了洗的教會的一份子，
我們全都是傳教士。我們有責
任向我們身邊的人介紹我們的
信仰，及為教會的傳教士祈
禱，並支持他們。
香港是一個傳教多元化
的地方。服務我們堂區的兩位司鐸
均是來自很遙遠的、具有跟香港很
不同文化的國家和修會。而很多領了
洗的教徒，並不需要離鄉別井的去傳教，
他們只要在日常行為中顯示他們的信德，使身
邊的人從他們的信德行為，看到和感受到他們是虔誠的
信徒。
在未來的三個月，我們將會為準備年終活動而忙
碌。但願我們不要忘記時常祈禱，祈求天主幫助我們以
善行戰勝惡行，並因天主愛世人的喜訊而歡欣。

1858年的2月11日本是陰冷的一天，但對於只得14歲、貧窮、文盲的伯爾納德蘇比
魯來說，卻是一個充滿喜悅和恩寵的大日子，因為童貞瑪利亞選擇了她去傳遞光榮
天主的信息，把我們和救主耶穌的距離拉近。
11 February 1858 was a cold and cloudy day, but for Bernadette Soubirous a poor illiterate
14 year old country girl, it was a day of grace and divine blessing as the Virgin Mary chose
her to be the messenger to glorify God, to bring all of us ever closer to Jesus Christ, our
Savior.

祈禱: 在第一次顯現中，童貞瑪利亞教導伯爾納德畫十字
聖號，十字聖號本身就是禱文，準備我們的心去朝拜天主。
聖母在每次顯現中都和伯爾納德一起唸玫瑰經。她也教授伯
爾納德個人禱文，也為罪人的懺悔而祈禱。因為只有在静默、
祈禱中，才能轉向天主，沉浸在祂的慈愛中，使我們有勇氣
和毅力奔向祂。
Pray: At the first apparition, Virgin Mary taught Bernadette how
to properly make the Sign of the Cross, which in itself is a prayer
so we may be in a state of readiness to worship God. At every
apparition, she would pray the rosary with Bernadette. Our Lady
also taught Bernadette a personal prayer and that she should
pray for the conversion of sinners. Only in solitude we may be in
prayers with God, submerged in His mercy that gave us strength
and perseverance to turn to Him.
懺悔: 聖母重複地告訴伯爾納德要“懺悔、懺悔、懺
悔”。聖母指示伯爾納德為罪人的改過而親吻土地、喝
泉水，表示克苦、自我犧牲和懺悔就是改過的途徑。
Penitence: Our Lady said repeatedly to Bernadette: “Penitence,
penitence, penitence”. She instructed her to kiss the ground and
drank from the spring for the penitence of sinners. Self sacrifice
and acts of penance are paths to conversion.
建做一座小聖堂: 童貞瑪利亞吩咐伯爾納德去稟告神父們，設法在這裏為她建
一座小聖堂。在彌撒中，耶穌貢獻自己作我們的補贖。耶穌說：“因為那裏有
兩個或三個人，因我的名字聚在一起，我就在他們中間。”（瑪竇18：20）
當我們在彌撒中祈禱時，我們便是和全世界的教會一起為世界祈禱。
Build a chapel: Virgin Mary asked Bernadette to tell the priests to build a chapel. At
Mass Jesus offered Himself for our salvation. Jesus said “For where 2 or 3 gathered in
My name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20) When we joined in prayers at Mass,
we are in communion with the universal Church praying for the whole world.

露德聖母顯現 160 周年
露德朝聖~恩寵之旅 鄭錦詠
今年適逢聖母在露德顯現 160 週年，我懷著感恩之心，感謝聖母為我代禱，為我求得很多恩寵，讓我更接近天主。
十五年前，我與婦女會姊妹們，參加堂區朝聖，首次踏足聖母在露德顯現之地。當時我對信仰的認識很膚淺，但
聖母洞悉一切，知道我的需要和渴求，藉著這朝聖，開啟我的眼目，讓我看到普世教友，對天主的崇敬和對聖母的孝愛。
當時我見到不少坐輪椅或臥床的病患者，在義工的協助下，從世界各地來到露德，祈求聖母醫治。每晚的燭光遊
行，更令我深受感動，成千上萬的朝聖者，來自世界各地，以不同語言和美妙歌聲，虔敬地向上主及聖母獻上禱詞。那塲
面非常震憾，他們的虔敬和熱忱，深深地觸動了我，使我反思自己對主的愛有多深？與聖母的關係又如何？
聖母知道我的心思念慮，透過聖神，介紹我認識幾位熱心教友，讓我加入不同的信仰團體，在聚會中，以祈禱及
歌聲讚美天主，更研讀聖經，聆聽天主的聖訓，漸漸提升我的信仰生活。聖言讓我心改變，讓我靈自由，與主的關係更進
一步！
過去的十多年，透過聖母的代禱，我有機會接觸到很多有德行的資深教友，並有神父及修女作為我的神師。他們
樹立很好的榜樣，以基督的心為心，不單以愛感化和包容我，更以微笑接納我性格上的缺點，啟發我的潛能，讓我尋回久
違了的真我，不再被過去的經歷所折磨。
我的神師更常鼓勵我參與退省、各類培育課程及與信仰有關的主題講座，不單讓我好好裝備自己，為主作見證；
亦讓我重新認識自己，看到自己的軟弱，在神師譖而默化的指導下，改過了很多不符合基督徒身份的惡習。
如今我只願與主相偕，做取悅祂的事，不願令聖神憂鬱。感謝主賜給我機會，在堂區服務的 17 年間，不斷在團體
中學習成長。但願我能全心歸向上主，在主的愛內繼續成長。感謝聖母為我代禱！

'The Song of Bernadette.' Avelino Junior Cortes
'La Salette, Lourdes, Fatima, Medjugorje and Akita' are some of the well-known places of Marian apparitions and this
year marks the 160th anniversary of the Lourdes apparitions. I and my wife are blessed to have visited Lourdes on three
different occasions and it was on our second visit that we witnessed the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette reposed in a
bronze and crystal casket inside a chapel of a convent in Nevers. That experience was most touching and it brought me
to tears of joy as we both knelt, before the casket, praying the rosary.
I grew up attending worship at St. Jude's Church in North Point. Interestingly, this was where our parish priest Fr. Victor
had served from 1996 to 2001, and it was there that I had received my sacraments of 'First Communion' and
'Confirmation.' I attended my catechism classes every Saturday afternoon and we were known as the 'Holy Angels.' On
some evenings we were shown religious movies as part of our learning and one of the movies that impressed me most
was the black and white film 'Song of Bernadette,’ (The touching story of Bernadette Soubirous and the Immaculate
Conception.)
Prior to our first visit to Lourdes, I purchased a DVD copy of the 'Song of Bernadette' from Amazon and we watched it a
couple of times to prepare ourselves for the trip, as we didn't know what to expect. The homework was well worth it and
as we approached the Grotto where our Lady appeared to Bernadette, we were struck with awe as if we were in the
movie ourselves. So, what is the most relevant message Our Lady gave to Bernadette? It's none other than, 'Penance!
Penance! Penance! Pray to God for sinners.' A message that has echoed continuously for 160 years.

聖母與伯爾納德向告別。這是伯爾納德最後一次在這個世界上看到聖母。 Bernadette says farewell to Our Lady. The last time Bernadette saw Our Lady on this earth.

conversion of sinners. For the first time, the people in the crowds followed Bernadette and
get on their knees and prayed the rosary.

一名乾枯了手的孕婦把手插進水泉的髒水裏，

into the muddy water of the spring and went home to have her baby.

信德的蠟燭（蠟燭的奇跡）：
蠟燭的火一直燙著伯爾納德的手指十分鐘，
但經醫生檢查後，證實手指一點都沒有燒傷的痕跡。
這就是祈禱時燃點蠟燭的傳統習慣的開始，寓意
“把禱告薪火相傳。”
The candle of faith (Miracle of the candle). The flame of the candle licked Bernadette’s fingers for ten minutes, but there was no sign of burns upon doctor’s examination.
This is the start of the tradition of lighting candles to “continue ones prayers.”

甘將一生交給您 美琪
計劃了半年的歐洲之旅終於實現了！一直祈求上主賜給我健康及體力去完成這個旅程。我懷著忐忑的心情，踏上旅
途。
來到波爾多（Bordeaux），法國著名的釀酒區。下一站便是露德了，因為不是朝聖團，所以露德只是往西班牙馬德
里途中的一個停留站。然而，對一個基督徒來說，露德是一個很重要的朝聖地。算一算行程，旅遊巴士將在下午三時至四
時之間到達露德。堂區的一位姊妹告訴我，露德的聖水池大約在下午四時關閘。本來我預算在波爾多乘坐早上 6:25 分的
火車前往露德，大約在早上 11:30 到達。但是我擔心上午的配額或許已派完；況且，我需要在早上四時起床，把大件的行
李交托給妹妹及妹夫，再召叫計程車往火車站，驚動這麼多人又不知道自己的體力能否應付。故此，還是放棄了這念頭，
就將一切交托給天主，便很平安地渡過了那個早上。可是，進入城後，心裏又不禁緊張起來，因為已是下午三時。我便跟
司機說，可否在最近廣場入口讓我下車，因為如先往酒店，放下行李，一定是趕不及的。當巴士到達廣場附近，已是三時
半，我帶著大大小小水桶的手提車飛奔到聖水池，幸好，閘門還未關上。我舉頭一望，往日要等候兩小時以上的人龍
不見了，我的前面只有六個人！ 感謝主，讚美主！
我收斂心神，祈求聖母在露德潔淨我，使我健康。浸了聖水後，在工作人員的幫忙下，我把
我的五件衣服穿回，因露德當時的天氣還是寒冷！
聖水池附近有一個燃點蠟燭的地方，一根根的蠟燭，燃點著一個個的禱告，我也靜靜地燃點
了一根：為自己和家人的健康，為堂區弟兄姊妹的健康，特別是幾位患了癌病的姊妹，為堂區的
牧職團，為普世教會，特別是香港的教會等祈禱。
許多朝聖者都會到聖母岩撫摸岩石，我摸著從岩石流出來的水，在自己
身體病患的位置輕撫，祈求聖母代禱，願天主賜我健康。五月初的傍晚，朝
聖人士不多，我坐在聖母岩前的木櫈上，誦念玫瑰經，默想基督的救恩。當
時一群義工推著輪椅上的老人、病人和傷殘人士，慢慢地走到聖母岩
前祈禱。我渴望將來當我的身體好了後，也能到 露德做義工。
想著想著，天色已晚，就趕到聖水的地方，盛
滿帶來的幾個膠桶。在返回酒店的途中，
當然不會忘記選購聖物啦！到達酒店
梳洗後，正好趕及七時的晚餐。
感謝聖母為我的
代禱！

法國朝聖之旅 Pansy & James
2011年 5 月，我和我先生 James 和堂區一班兄弟姐妹一起踏上法國朝聖之旅，其中當然包括到露德這個聖母顯現給
伯爾納德的聖地參觀。今年正正是聖母在露德顯現的 160 周年，就讓我和大家分享我們在露德的美麗的回憶。
五月四日(星期三)早餐後，我們由沙特爾出發前往參觀布爾吉主教座堂 (Cathedrale Saint-Etienne de Bourges)。布爾
吉大教堂建於 12 世紀末至 13 世紀末，是哥德式建築的傑出代表，以勻稱的比例，雕刻，繪畫以及彩窗玻璃聞名。1992
年被聯合國文教科組織列入世界遺產。
走入教堂時，我已被教堂內三層唱詩班的位置深深地吸引了。那位置裝飾着彩窗，使光照在石柱上形成五彩的光斑。
主題大約是：末日審判的基督和啟示錄，聖母瑪利亞的圖像，平行的畫面有新約舊約故事以及聖徒和殉道者、布爾吉大主
教、先知和使徒的生平。
我們中午前往尼法斯，參觀聖吉爾達德修道院 (Saint Gildard Convent)。 1866年伯爾納德加入「仁愛修女會」(The
Sisters of Charity)，在醫院為病人服務。修會是由一位 Jean–Baptiste Delaveyne 神父於 1680年創辦的。宗旨是為關懷貧困
無依者，以見證天主對世人的關愛。修院於 1853年由荒廢的聖吉爾達德教堂 (St. Gildard Church) 改建而成，現在為「仁
愛修女會」的總會院。伯爾納德於 1879 年離世時葬於此修院內。
伯爾納德去世三十年後的 1909 年，教廷為她舉行列品儀式，儀式中為她開棺，發現她的遺體像剛去世時一樣完好無
損。修女們把腐爛的衣服換掉，將遺體擦拭一遍，換上乾淨衣服，安放在新做的鋪着白綢子的棺材裡，重新下葬。1925
年 6月 14日教宗碧岳宣佈伯爾納德為真福。同年 8 月 3 日，修女們再次開棺，遺體仍完好如初，她們便將她安放在精緻
的鑲金玻璃棺材內，架在高約一公尺的木雕座上，放在聖堂聖母祭台下，讓來自世界各地的人瞻仰那不朽的遺容，不朽的
恩寵。當我跪在她面前時，好像和一個從來没見過面的親人見面一般親切，我只默默的看着她，向她問好，告訴她，她是
我的主保聖人，也是我們歌詠團的主保。能够親眼看到真真正正的伯爾納德，實在是天主與聖母媽媽賜給我及我丈夫的恩
寵。
另一旁，有一個仿照聖母顯現给伯爾納德的岩洞造景，四圍都令人感受到虔敬的宗教氣氛，我們在
岩洞前舉行了彌撒聖祭。這個岩洞是我在“露德聖母九日敬禮祈禱經文書”的封面時常見到的，
現在是實實在在的出現在眼前，實在非常感恩。很多人專程来浸露德水池，是希望治病。能夠察
覺自己患了病，那實在是件好事，因為可以得到醫治；但有些不易被自己發現的小毛病：例如驕
傲虛榮的心、只會怪責別人的舌頭、喜歡聽別人是非的耳朵、不能體諒別人過錯的心胸等，我們
便需要找我們的主診醫生–耶穌和聖神來醫治我們，鼓勵我們棄惡從善。

善會/小組簡介 Briefings from Associations and Groups
誰是非常務送聖體員？ 一位非常務送聖體員
我們是擔當一項由堂區司鐸授權的特殊任務的小
組。當有教徒因病或年老而無法到教堂參與彌撒時，我
們的職責便是把耶穌的聖體送給這些教友。非常務送聖
體員的責任是以最安全的方法護送耶穌的聖體到醫院、
老人院、家庭給病人、老人們和不良於行的教友。送聖
體本是神父的恒常任務之一。不過，在香港基於實際情
況，需要送聖體員協助神父送聖體。
初期教會受迫害期間（教難)，為了護送「聖
體」，隊伍要深夜潛行，當中有受到狙擊或中伏，最後
因保衛「聖體」而殉道。今日世界上仍有不少戰亂地區
的聖職人員，包括送聖體員，不怕赴湯蹈火，身陷險
境，力保將聖體安全地送給教徒。
「要收的莊稼多，做工的人少」(瑪竇9：37；路加
10：2)。隨著人口老化，教徒對非常務外送聖體的需求
與日俱增。露德聖母堂經常有送聖體員需要外送聖體給
三、四位病弱長者；亦有組員外送聖體給十多位居於大
口環各院舍的老友記。有些「非常務」送聖體員在堂區
內也同時身兼數職；有擔任慕道班導師的、讀經員的、
明供聖體流程司儀的、堂區議會委員的。
想加入本會並非只憑個人意願。而是要蒙天主恩寵
的。主任司鐸通過和這人的面談，評核他們。通過評核
後推薦入組，再接受訓練、實習，最後才獲派遣，成為
一名非常務送聖體員， 任命期為兩年。如有感召成為送
聖體員的話，請和堂區司鐸聯繫。我們很歡迎虔誠的、
恭敬天主的，和願意謙卑地、用愛德服務的堂區教友參
加。
Who are the Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy
Communion? An EMHC member
We are lay people of an extraordinary task authorized by the
Parish Priest to bring the Body of Christ to Catholics who are
unable to attend Sunday Mass because they are housebound
due to old age or illness. Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy
Communion (“EMHC”) observe utmost reverence to the true
Body of Christ all the way to patients' / elderlies' families,
homes for the aged and hospitals. Distribution of the Holy
Eucharist is in fact one of the ordinary (regular) duties of a
priest. In Hong Kong, however, it has become a norm because
of practical reasons for EMHCs to assist priests at Mass.
During the persecution of the early Church, the role of EMHCs
was anything but ordinary. It was a very solemn, sacred but
dangerous duty. Priests as well as EMHCs, assigned to keep
the Holy Communion safe from sacrilege,
had to travel in the dead of the night,
running the risk of being captured by
enemies of the Church. Many EMHCs
became martyrs and gave up their lives to
protect the Holy Eucharist. Even to this day,
in places of war and conflict, priests and
EMHCs will do whatever they can to bring
the Body of Christ to those who want to
receive Him.
“The harvest is plentiful but workers are
few” (Matthew 9:37; Luke 10:2). Owing to
the rapid growth of the aging population,
the demand for EMHCs is on the rise. It is not uncommon that
some EMHCs of our parish bring the Holy Eucharist to 3 or 4
housebound parishioners, while some serve more than ten
seniors living in various elderly homes in Sandy Bay. Many of
our EMHCs also serve in other capacities in our Parish, e.g.
Catechists, Readers at Mass, MC at Adoration and Parish
Councilors; undertaking numerous duties to serve the Lord.
EMHCs are invited to serve by the grace of God. He/she will
be interviewed by the Parish Priest and then may be
recommended for training. After a period of practice, the
EMHCs will receive commissioning for a two-year term of
service. If you feel you have the calling to be an Extraordinary
Minister of the Holy Communion, please approach our Parish
Priest. We welcome Parishioners who are devout, in awe of
the Lord and willing to serve with humility and charity.

英文主日學 黄可欣
本堂區是本港少數有提供英文主日學的教堂之一。
由1983年開始，我們為以英語為母語的5至13歲並已領洗
的兒童提供宗教培育，教導他們跟隨基督，為初領聖體及領受
堅振作好準備。
我們所有的導師都是由熱心的教友義務擔任，由幼兒班
至堅振班共有八班，由於學生眾多，所以對老師的需求一直很
大。我有幸於一年前參與英文主日學行政工作的服務，也加深
了我對這團體的認識。在我邀請一些教友成為導師的過程中，
發現了不少人對當導師這工作卻步，是由於對情況不太瞭解。
譬如，他們覺得不能擔任導師是因為他們工作及照顧家
庭很忙，有時須到外地出差，故此不能承諾每個星期天也上
課。
其實大家無須擔心，其實每班的工作一般由至少兩至三
位正及輔助導師負責，根據各人的預定工作分配比率及可行日
子互相輪班，因此有一定的彈性。
又例如有些朋友表示不清楚課程範圍，與及憂慮不清楚
教學方法。其實每位同學都備有課本，而每位導師也獲派一本
教材，當中包括每課的教學內容、問題及答案，與及引導學生
思考的方法。
主日學實為信仰培育的一個重要階段，而這團體也十分
需要教友們的支援，假如你有興趣成為我們的一份子，為我們
教區的小朋友的宗教培育出一分力的話，歡迎隨時主動聯絡我
們。
English Sunday School Carol Wong
Since 1983, we are one of the few parishes offering English
Sunday School in Hong Kong. We aim to provide a Catholic
education to our English speaking children (5 to 13 years old), to
well prepare them for the Sacraments of First Communion and
Confirmation.
We have a total of 8 classes from Kindergarten class up to
Confirmation class. They are all taught by volunteers of our
Parish. With the number of classes and students, we are always
short of volunteer teachers. I am very pleased to have joined the
administration work in the Sunday School a year ago. Recently
when I tried to recruit new teachers, I realise there are lots of
misunderstanding in the structure of our Sunday School. Here are
some of the examples and clarifications.
Example 1: I am very busy with my career and the family.
Sometimes I even need to travel during the weekends. Therefore I
cannot commit myself to the teaching every week.
Actually classroom time is shared by at least 2 to 3 teachers and
assistant teachers of each grade, according to an agreed roster
and proportions of class coverage with a great deal of flexibility.
Example 2: I don’t know what to teach the student.
Not to worry. All the students have their own textbook for their
grade. Teachers are provided with a set of Teachers’ Manual. All
the content, Q&A and guide are listed in detail of each chapter.
Sunday School plays a crucial role in the spiritual formation of our
children and we need your support. If you are interested to be a

聖伯爾納德聖詠團 歌詠團成員
聖伯爾納德聖詠團成立於1981年，在過去37年來，不乏富
經驗且出色的指揮，其中包括梁潔儀姊妹、凌國輝兄弟(故)、丁
鴻華老師、王柏豪兄弟、何倩恒姊妹，韓以亮兄弟、任良英姊妹
等，他們對培養及提高團員的音樂造詣不遺餘力。
八十年代初，聖詠團在全港聖詠比賽中，連續獲得第三屆
和第四屆的冠軍殊榮。這團體亦是培養司
琴的搖籃，歷年來人才輩出，現任司琴
朱嘉恩姊妹及麥智朗兄弟是團中年紀
最輕的，這兩位年青人每個主日為聖
詠團貢獻的時間極多，從早上9時開
始，直至彌撒後練歌至中午12時，
實屬難能可貴。
除音樂外，聖詠團亦注重團員
的靈修生活，定期舉辦聖經分享，參與堂
區避靜及祈禱聚會，以加強大家的信仰培育。值得一提的是，聖
詠團中曾有兩位團員蒙召成為修女，實在是可喜可賀。
聖詠團還藉著各類型的活動，如朝聖旅行、遠足、父母親
節慶祝會、聖誕聯歡會、婚禮唱詠、善終唱詠等，增進彼此間的
友誼，彼能在信仰及生活上互勵互勉。大家對於堂區事務亦鼎力
支持，團員中有多位曾出任堂區議會的幹事和會長。
聖詠團現有團員50人，近年的人數逐步有所增加。還望未
來有更多年青教友加入這個歡樂團體，令大家的歸屬感和共融團
結得以傳承。
St. Bernadette’s Choir Choir Members
St. Bernadette’s Choir was established in 1981. For the past 37 years, we have had brilliant conductors including Kitty Leung, the late George Ling, Ms Rita Ding, Bernard Wong, Lisa Ho, Francis Hon and Doris Yam. They have been instrumental in nurturing and developing musical knowledge and skills for our choir members.
In the early 80’s, our choir won championships of the 3rd and 4th HK Choir Hymns Contest. This choir is also a cradle for nurturing organists. We have had excellent accompanists all along. Our
current organists, Verita Chu and Raphael Mak, are the youngest members of the
choir. We greatly appreciate these two youths who contribute huge amounts of their time every Sunday, from 9:00am through the choir practice session until noon.
Besides music, our choir also puts emphasis on spiritual development.
We hold regular Bible studies, participate in Parish retreats and prayer
gatherings actively. We were very blessed to have two members who responded to God’s calling to be religious sisters.
Through various activities, e.g. pilgrimages, hiking, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day celebrations, Christmas party as well as choir service at weddings and funerals, our members have been good friends and we support one another readily in faith and everyday life. We fully support parish activities and many of our members have served on the Parish Council as Executive Members and Chairman.
There is an increasing number of members in recent years. We currently have 50 members and we sincerely hope that more young parishioners can join this happy family and to continue the tradition with great sense of belonging together.

The Retreat before Super Typhoon Annie Cheng
Some months ago, Women's Group made plans for an Annual
Retreat on September 15th, the Memorial of Our Lady of
Sorrows, at Honeyville Canossian Retreat House. The theme
was "A date with the Holy Trinity". The spiritual director of the
retreat was Sr. Terry Wong of Canossa. All arrangements
were made and everyone eagerly look forward to the day.
However, a few days before the retreat, the Observatory
forecasted Super Typhoon Mangkhut would hit Hong Kong on
the 16th. All members prayed in earnest for this intention,
subsequently all committee members made an unanimous
decision to proceed with the retreat as planned.
Thank God for His blessing and the protection of Our Lady,
the weather on that day was warm, sunny with a breeze. In
the beginning, all 26 participants worried the weather would
deteriorate during the retreat.
However, once arrived at the
Retreat House, everyone's
mind and spirit became very
peaceful. We offered all our
worries to Our Lady, and in
silence prayerfully focused
on our encounter with the
Holy Trinity.
We have benefited a great
deal. Other than Sr. Terry
leading us to a higher level of
praying, through the movie
shown at the retreat we learned the
act of forgiveness and how broad and kind is God’s love. This
gave us a new perspective and understanding of the Holy
Trinity.
At this retreat, we learned to put our complete trust in God and
have faith in Him. Perhaps God put our faith on trial as an
opportunity to reflect on our relationship with the Holy Trinity.
Thanks be to Our Lady for Her help that we could have our
retreat with complete peace of mind. Everyone experienced
the presence of the Holy Trinity. We hope to love God and our
neighbours more in days to come and to offer everything to
God wholeheartedly. Give thanks to the Holy Trinity and
praise to Our Lady!
超強颱風前的避靜 鄭錦詠
多月前，婦女會安排了9月15日，亦即痛苦聖母瞻
禮日，到嘉諾撒靜修院作週年避靜，主題是[我和天主聖
三有個約會]，避靜神師是嘉諾撒的黃惠賢修女。一切都
安排妥當，大家亦非常期待這日子的來臨。
可是在避靜前幾天，天文臺已預報超強颱風[山
竹]，將會在16日威脅香港。我們都為此而憂心，全體會
員亦為這意向祈禱，其後得到委員一致同意，決定如期
舉行。
感謝天主的祝福，在聖母的庇護下，當天風和日
麗，陽光普照，最初全體26位的參與者，都擔心天氣會
在避靜期間轉壞，可是到達修院後，各人的心神都很平
安，將一切憂慮都交託給聖母，
在靜默中全情投入地與天主
聖三相遇。
這次避靜我們獲益
良多，除了黃修女帶領我
們作深層次的祈禱外，更
從退省的電影中，學習寬
恕之道，讓我們深深體會
到，天主的愛是何等寬仁
慈善，我們對天主聖三更有
新的觀感和體會。
在這次避靜中，我們學會交託和全心信賴主，也許
天主藉此機會，考驗我們的信德，讓我們反省與天主聖
三的關係！感謝聖母的助佑，讓這次退省能在風平浪靜
的情況下，得以順利完成。在過程中，各人都經驗到天
主聖三的臨在，但願日後我們更愛天主和我們的近人，
在一切事上都全心交託給主！感謝天主聖三，讚美聖母
媽媽！

Six Seniors Received the Sacraments of Initiation
Catherine So
At the Vigil Mass on Saturday 12 May 2018, six seniors – in
the presence and witness of their Godparents and families -
joyfully received the Sacraments of initiation: Baptism,
Confirmation and the Eucharist; ministered by Rev. Victor.
Among the six seniors were two married couples and two
gentlemen. Because of their age and immobility, catechist
went to their homes to deliver instructions of the doctrine.
Enhanced with constant prayers and sharing, their knowledge
in God grew and deepened. By the grace of God, they are
now His children.
One old lady said she was greatly touched by the fact that her
catechist not only took the trouble of teaching her at home, but
also meticulously attended to her needs. Ever since she
learned she can entrust everything to God through prayers,
her spirit has been greatly lifted. She is very thankful of what
the Church has done for her.
Another gentleman in his eighties firmly believed that it was
truly the grace of God that he and his ill-health wife were
baptized at the same time. He felt at peace and blessed
especially with prayers showered on them by fellow
parishioners who were present at the ceremony.
Let us pray for our senior parishioners. May God guard them,
watch over them and let them enjoy their later years embraced
in the love of their families.

長者領受入門聖事 蘇婉嫻
在2018年5月12日星期六的「主日提前彌撒」中 ，
六位長者在代父母和家人親臨見證，及岑神父的祝福
下，喜悅地領受了聖洗、堅振和聖體三件入門聖事。
六位領受入門聖事的長者中，有兩對夫婦，及兩位
男仕。他們都是因年事已高或行動不便，由導師上門教
授道理，藉祈禱和分享，加深他們對主的認識。最後蒙
天主的恩寵，皈依成為天主的子女。
其中一位婆婆表示，導師上門向她講解教理，對她
無微不至，令她很是感動。自從懂得如何在祈禱中把一
切交托天主後，心情開朗了很多，所以很感謝教會。
另一位伯伯表示，他已八十多歲，能與健康欠佳的
太太一起領洗，確是天主的恩賜。能得到在場的教友為
他們祈禱，也讓他感到很平安和快樂。
讓我們為長者們祈禱，求天主保守、照顧他們，讓
他們在家人的愛和悉心照顧下安享晚年。

2018年6月3日對我來說是
一個重要的日子。那天是
我初領聖體的大日子。
當岑神父把聖體放入我口
中時，我的心情既緊張又
興奮。初領聖體儀式完成
後，耶穌來到我心中和我
一起，頓時感覺我又長大
了，感受到聖神的恩寵又
多一點點了。

堅振下班
領堅振當天，我感到既興奮又有一點
緊張，但我亦明白緊張是不需要的，
因為天父正在看守着我，儀式完結
後，我鬆了一口氣，而且感到十分感
恩，因為我藉此領受了聖神七恩，更
進一步接近天主。我日後會更努力藉
着聖神給我的力量去宣揚基督的愛，
引領其他人加入天主的大家庭。

晉鐸二十五週年誌慶 蘇婉嫻
9月9日很高興我們的輝仔神父來探望我們，但
可惜他沒有帶同輝仔回來。羅神父以感恩祭慶祝了
他的晉鐸週年紀念。感謝天主對揀選了他，為服務
教會二十五載，並祈求天主祝福他的一雙手，來祝
聖酒餅，使信眾們可分享主耶穌的聖體聖血。感恩
祭中他懇請天主繼續祝福眾兄弟姊妹，使他們在信
仰路上更親近天主。他也請大家為他祈禱。
堂區議會為了恭賀羅神父，預備了一個慶祝蛋
糕，羅神父在岑神父、堂區議會議員陪同下切蛋
糕，並與教友們分享。當天正值堂區的主日茶聚，
感謝婦女會預備了很豐富的美食給大家品嘗，大家
都讚不絕口。
回想羅神父曾在1997 至 2000 年間擔任露德聖
母堂任助理主任司鐸、余振強紀念第二中學校監，
他必定有很多珍貴的回憶，今次大家難得有機會再
聚首一堂，娓娓道來多少值得回味的往事。
最後慶祝會在一片歡樂聲中結束，大家都祝賀
羅神父，願他身體健康、主寵日隆。

25th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood of Fr. Salvador Rojas Vega, MG Catherine So
We were delighted Fr. Salvador celebrated the Eucharist with us on September 9 on the occasion of his 25th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. Fr. Salvador thanked God in calling him to serve the Church, and blessed his hands to consecrate bread and wine as the Body and Blood of Christ for our brothers and sisters. At Mass he asked our good Lord to continue the blessing on the Church for all to grow closer to our Father in Heaven, as well as pray for him as he continues on his ministry.
Coincidentally it was the same day of the Parish monthly tea party. The Parish Council arranged a cake for Fr. Salvador which was shared with all in the company of Fr. Victor and council members. The Women’s Group prepared a feast and everyone had a great time.
Fr. Salvador was our Assistant Parish Priest and Supervisor of YCK2 Secondary School between 1997 and 2000. It was a lovely occasion to recount those precious memories with all those present.
As the tea party draws to a happy close,everyone wished Fr. Salvador good health and God’s blessings in the days to come.
