EFI Fiery Dynamic HD Text and Graphics

Dynamic HD Text and Graphics is an EFI exclusive feature that reproduces accurately ultra-thin lines, small text, and fine details in the printed output. It also delivers lead/trail edge correction—a unique functionality that evens outs the color of the lead edge and the trail edge of a character by compensating for the typically darker appearance of one edge and the lighter appearance of the other edge.

The Dynamic HD Text and Graphics test page allows users to explore how the three different modes (low, medium and high) affect the appearance of text and graphics in printed output. Follow these simple steps to print this test page:

1. Import the sample file Ricoh_Fiery_E43A_E83A_DynamicHD_TestPage_SAMPLE_TBL.pdf to the Fiery Command WorkStation Held queue by either dragging and dropping it, or importing it with the File Import menu option.

2. Select the file and open Job Properties by clicking the Properties button under Job Center or by right-clicking on it.

3. Go to the Image tab and set Dynamic HD text and graphics to Low, Medium or High. We recommend that you also print the test page with Dynamic HD text and graphics off and compare to the printed output from any of the three modes to see the great level of fine detail this feature is able to reproduce.

OFF LOW MEDIUM HIGH

The zoomed-in images are photographs of the actual printed output with Dynamic HD Text and Graphics off and on medium mode. Below are examples for comparison of all three modes to the off mode.
