11. Rationale :
Manufacturing and workshop practices have become important in the industrial environment to produce products for the service of mankind. The knowledge of manufacturing practices is highly essential for all engineers and technocrats for familiarizing themselves with modern concepts of manufacturing technologies. The basic need is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and workshop technology to all the students.
12. Synopsis :
This course introduces students the principle of Forming and Pressing Technology that covering many different manufacturing processes used in automotive industry. Student also will be exposed to the metalworking process of metal parts and objects through mechanical deformation. Forming operates on the materials science principle of plastic deformation, where the physical shape of a material is permanently deformed. The student acquires the knowledge of manufacturing forming technology and specialty so that they can select the right type of materials and application to make the product.
13.
