En 1999, un grupo de padres sudaneses de los estudiantes de la Escuela Primaria de CCK les pide a los Misioneros Combonianos que creen una Universidad Comboniana. Con su colaboración, el Ministerio de Educación Superior e Investigación Científica aprueba el primer programa universitario en 2001
