ELO achieves VERS Compliance

ELO Digital Office, a leader in Document

Management, Enterprise Content Management and

Records Management achieves full VERS

compliance.

ELO Digital Office has achieved full certification for one of

Australias most stringent Government RecordsManagement standards - VERS (Victorian Electronics

Records Strategy).

The Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) summarises

VERS as following:

VERS is a world-leading solution to the problem of

capturing, managing and preserving electronic records.

VERS is a framework of standards, guidance, training,

consultancy and implementation projects, which is centredaround the goal of reliably and authentically archiving

electronic records.

There are five certification areas in VERS says Rainer

Krause, Managing Director of ELO in Australia and New

Zealand. The ELO software essentially complied out of the

box for the majority of hurdles. Only when our software had

to create the VEO (VERS Encapsulated Object) we had to

adjust to the specific requirements.

Going through the VERS certification process has been a

very successful investment not only for the Australian ELO

subsidiary. Even our overseas sister companies and

Headquarters in Germany will benefit from this

achievement. Our cost efficient ELO solution has finally

broken into the Australian market, dominated by systems

that are often expensive or cumbersome or both.

PROV explains on their website:

VERS is promoted globally and has been accepted and

used by archival institutions, national and international

Governments and local and global product vendors.

Being VERS compliant marks another step for ELO

Australia to become a credible force in EDRMS for various

Government levels in Australia. After being contracted by

the NSW Government this new certification will allow

essentially all States and Territories to choose a modern

system for their EDRMS needs.

Described as a truly cost efficient alternative to Government

agencies ELO has - amongst others - been implemented at

Taronga Zoo and Newcastle Airport.

Our successful implementations at the Zoo and Newcastle

Airport helped us to understand better the particular

requirements for Australian Records Management and the

leading role PROV has taken in the world of preserving

knowledge for the future adds Rainer Krause.

Having achieved VERS compliance is a great honour for us

and we will make sure that a first class solution is delivered

to every Government agency in Australia that chooses ELO

as their EDRMS. Like German, Hungarian, Czech and

Indonesian Governments now another agency has given us

their seal of approval remarks Karl-Heinz Mosbach, CEO

at ELOs HQ in Germany. All assessors and other staff at

PROV have shown their deep knowledge in VERS and have

supported our technical staff where possible; but at the end the

product spoke for itself.
