Functionality of RFID

We landed in the era intelligent labeling for clothing. The label now plays a vital role in helping retailers, brand owners and manufacturers to make business decisions smarter, relying on labels from the enhanced features that allow to combine applications, business processes and, in fact, the entire supply chain. The smart labeling for clothing is the basis of solutions that address the three basic needs of the apparel industry: the presentation and brand identification, loss prevention and merchandise visibility.

The new generation of labels for clothing is able to combine these essential functions in a single product, thus allowing the industry to reduce the cost, complexity and the time required for the goods arrive on the shelves.

Future tren of RFID

• The prices of RFID tags in steady decline, especially for passive UHF tags that have an advantage in terms of performance than existing technology.

• The constant desire for apparel retailers to maintain the physical inventory as low as possible, showing more and more interested in getting the maximum visibility on the levels of goods and the place where this is located.

• An expanding range of third-party confirmations regarding the financial strength of RFID technology for clothing, measured as return on investment (ROI).

• A significant increase in programs aimed adoption of RFID technology from major global and regional retailers, which has helped to spread a greater sense of calm and confidence in the clothing industry about the "safety" of RFID technology, which is considered a de facto essential business tool.

• The ability to integrate RFID technology within the traditional clothing labels, essentially turning the badges in effective tools and multifunctional for the transmission of essential information such as the status of the goods and the place where it is located, the management of variable data and loss prevention.
