If you are like us, you are feeling that big changes are coming over the next 12 months.

Many of us in the United States are com-ing to terms with issues of long-term sur-vival as we embrace our place as citi-zens in a post-Christian nation. Clearly our two great nations are suffering a schizophrenic identity conflict. Who are we as a people? What do we stand for as a nation?

The inevitable consequence of this is a “halt between two opinions” as the cul-ture wobbles between a commitment to the secular pressure of increasing moral lawlessness and government en-titlements on the left and fears of radi-cal Islam and economic Armageddon on the right; with Christians disorganised on the right, left and middle – strewn like so many disoriented sheep upon the hills! It won’t be long till these diver-gent hostile forces, left and right, come together against the real enemy – YOU. And that’s when Goliath shows up in new laws and anti-Christian policies.

Actually, Goliath was part of a whole army of occupation. In David’s day, the devil was manifesting in the harassing form of the Philistines. Every day for 40 days, the armies of Israel were berated and mocked by a large demon-pos-sessed beast named Goliath. King Saul had the responsibility and the positional authority to deal with this problem, but he lacked confidence because the Spirit of the Lord had departed from him! Saul was powerless to solve the

problem - and he knew it. David had the anointing to deal with the situation, but what he did not have was a posi-tion with authorisation to apply it. It is important to realise that David didn’t take out Goliath as a shepherd boy - he did it as a soldier- inducted five minutes earlier. He was authorised by Saul to en-ter the sphere of Government service – the government mountain. Goliath was a military embarrassment and hence, a political problem. David had earlier penetrated the sphere of government as a music therapist. This is why he had access to the king with his proposal. Proximity is power because the power to access can become the power to in-fluence. The moment David was invited to put on Saul’s armour, he was no long-er an outsider commenting on the situ-ation; he was an insider, a government employee if you will, hired to solve it.

You’re anointed; get appointedSomething shifted in Israel when Saul received David and authorised David to represent him in battle. Goliath was about to meet God in a David suit. By serving Saul in government, David solved a national problem. Don’t be an enemy to those in authority. Get into their sphere and help them solve problems. When we really believe what Jesus said: “he who receives you, re-ceives me,” we will begin to see amaz-ing things start to happen through us. When they invite you into their sphere,

Jesus (the supernatural) comes aboard their ship!

We simply MUST rethink how the King-dom of God advances and how heav-en triumphs over evil in our day. We must stop thinking that God only shows up in revivals or intense worship gather-ings. David knew God’s presence from his solitary worship on a hillside, but he also knew how to combine that spir-ituality with a slingshot and sword and take territory.

We must be like David and merge our spiritual intimacy and passion for God’s presence with a warrior’s disposition and advance against Hells heights.

Put the supernatural to work. Daily make it your confession that “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me and I am anointed to fix this situation!” You heal the sick systems and cast out devils from corrupt cor-ridors of influence. You cleanse leprous minds and hearts and raise the dead in-

stitutions to life again as God intended. You are a revival unleashed in the world of the mundane. You shift the atmos-phere by patiently praying and claim-ing “every place the sole of your foot treads upon.”

Unauthorised, unyielding squattersIt’s time we had a serious talk about this. You cannot bind the strong man from around the corner – you have to go into the strongman’s house to plunder his goods and divide his armour. BE A CHURCHILL! BE A WILBERFORCE! - GO IN! It is a spiritual law that lesser authority must yield to greater authority. Howev-er, until the greater authority shows up and presses the issue, the lesser author-ity will dominate.

Hell will not yield, and our nations will not be saved because of our prayers alone. The strong man will only budge when one mightier than him comes upon him - in his house. Jesus is the mightier one and He wants to clothe Himself with YOU, the body of Christ. THEN those prayers for England, stored up in the heavens like latent nuclear power, will be unleashed.

His Kingdom comeswhere your job is doneYou are the front lines of the advancing Kingdom! You are the anointed deliv-erer, the David in your assigned sphere. In fact, if you don’t go, the Kingdom will not come! The church is not the King-dom; the church is given the keys of the Kingdom. The Kingdom is simply God’s way of doing things. The church is the authorised dealer of heaven unlocking God’s way of doing things on earth! Un-til you go the Kingdom will not come. God’s way is God’s wisdom. God has wisdom for every sphere of life and a solution to every problem of man. Wait upon Him and He will reveal His “wis-dom” through you in your specific as-signment. In the end, “we teach nations His ways.” Read Isaiah 2.

King of the HillJesus envisions a church in close prox-imity to the gates of hell. He said, “I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against you.” Where are those gates located? They are not hard

to find. Wherever a powerful, destruc-tive or lawless thought has a “strong hold” on the minds of people, a “strong-hold” is empowering it. Put every per-version and dangerous religion into this category. Powerful, disembodied spirits who rule the darkness of this world are working to advance their malicious work through remnants of gatekeepers in a handful of spheres of influence in each city and nation. Through these gates, dark powers shape and make disciples of nations. The only ones truly able to re-sist are those who are full of the Spirit of God. That which you bow your knee to on the way up the mountain will control you at the top. Those who confront Baal are those who never bowed the knee.

Preparingthe House

“A containerof His glory!”

“God comes in response to extravagant worship”

Through these last 12 months, God has been teaching us truths about His house, His habitation, and being a container of His glory!

We have seen God moving and filling more and more of His House - that is ex-pressed through our hearts, our homes, our churches and our nation, taking ownership, taking over.

God wants to make us His Holy Dwelling where He comes to stay and deposits residual presence at all times. God has chosen us to be the people that are prepared for Him, that make Him wel-come, that never forget to include Him.

Jesus is making preparations right now - John 14 tells us that He is preparing a place for us, so that where He is, we can also be. It is for relationship, for be-ing together forever, and as we prepare a house for Him here it’s for the same reason - relationship with Him.

So what does thispreparation look like for us?Firstly, it means giving God an open invi-tation into our hearts and every part of our life. Have we prepared a place for Him where He is welcome and where He can dwell? In Isaiah 66:1 it asks ‘‘Where is my house you have prepared for me? Where will my resting place be?’’

God is not a God that wants to be far off, God is a God that wants to live in you.

Then, God wants us to be prepared for new revelation. Life moves in seasons and God makes things new every morn-ing. He wants us to be prepared for Him to intervene in our lives, in our mindsets with new revelation. God is a God of the new! Stay open to fresh meanings on well known Scriptures, or fresh ways God can speak to you. Read the scrip-tures prophetically!

He also wants us to be prepared by being cleansed; 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 de-scribes how, as part of the preparation for the Passover Feast, the Jews had a major spring clean. They would search high and low and get rid of any yeast that could possibly be there. Yeast here represents sin. It’s a symbol to us of our hearts being thoroughly searched and cleansed as we prepare ourselves as a house for His habitation. Psalm 139 says “Search me O God and see if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the way ever lasting.”


Sharon Baker passionate-ly pursues a life of signs, wonders and miracles. From the outset of found-ing Revival Fires in 1998 together with her hus-band, Trevor Baker, they have seen the power of God increase as they have believed whole-heartedly in the New Testament church as the standard for today. Sharon Baker describes herself simply as ‘a worshipper’. Through heavenly inspired words and melodies she seeks to express the heart of God and lift people into new revelation of His super-natural power and love.

Let’s also be prepared for the sud-den moments of God. There are times we pray, we seek Him and pursue Him with perseverance and steadfastness. God loves to see that we are passion-ate for Him and He will respond to those longings. But we must be ready too for the unexpected times when God just comes and the atmosphere is charged with His presence. Prepare for the sur-prise of God breaking in when we least expect Him to!

God also comes in response to extrava-gant worship, that which we have pre-pared in our hearts to lavish on Him. We know that God wants us to be more concerned with the internal than the external, with the eternal above the temporary. With the spiritual over the physical. In Mark 14 a woman poured fragrance over Jesus, anointing Him all over with her love and adoration. What worship do we have ready to pour out? How generous are we with our thanks-giving and expressions of devotion? Are we pouring everything out before the Lord? That fragrance was very costly to her. She could have so easily held

back, and was even criticized for be-ing ‘wasteful’. But the rewards of being totally abandoned to the presence of God are just unbelievable: God breaks in with the atmosphere of heaven when we offer extravagant worship to Him.

Now look up Matthew 26 from verse 17 and Mark 14 starting at verse 12, where we see Jesus making preparations for the Passover.

These passages describe how Jesus had a place in mind to be prepared, and that He had people lined up to direct His disciples. He had already chosen the city, the street and the room to be pre-pared. The man carrying the jar of wa-ter was a sign on the way. God wants to communicate so clearly with us, that He will put people in our way as signs and wonders on our journey, on our prepa-ration. God wants to show you new rev-elation. You may not see a man walking up the High Street this week carrying a jug of water. But God will put people in your path because He wants you to hear the revelation He has for you. Ask God at the start of the day, who is it you would like me to talk to, or take notice of, or lead me to today? What words do I need to say? Have you got a word of blessing for me to give? Is there some word of hope I can bring into a person’s life that will turn their situation around, moving them from sorrow into joy? Look for a new revelation; if you prepare yourself God will download new revela-tion to you. You’re going to meet peo-ple that are going to be like a river of life to you and you are going to be a river of life to them. God has already prepared them, lined them up for you!

So what are you preparing? Are you prepared? Are you ready? Or are you sitting down thinking you’re having a day off or even a year off! God wants us to be prepared in the same way that He describes His church in Ephesians; like an army or like troops willing in the day of His power, as in Psalms 110:3, ready for whatever He tells us to do.

Let Him prepare your heart. Let Him dwell inside you with fullness. Let Him come in your home, your family, your church, your city. Be the container of His presence, the place of His Glorious Habitation!

Thanks so much for all your love, prayers and support. Some of you have been part of our extended family for some considerable time now, and others of you may have been to a conference or discovered us on the internet, but we want all of you to know just how much we love and appreciate you.

We are about to enter an exciting new phase in the development and extension of Revival Fires and would love to share this with you, so that you also can step out in faith, con-nect in with us, and share our certain hope, expectation and delight as the promises of God we are stand-ing on together become reality right before our eyes.

The time is now for us to be extend-ing our boundaries and not pulling back. It is time for us to move into a new place of faith. Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

As a church, we have sensed the Lord saying to us that we need to step out in faith and connect it with a promise. 2 Corinthians 8:10 says: “You were not only the first to give but also to have a desire to do so, now finish the work so that your eager willingness to do may be matched by the completion of it ac-cording to your means.”

We are extending that same invita-tion to you, our partners and friends, to join us by reaching out to God in faith for a sum to sow into the Trans-formation Centre.

Partnering Togetherfor Increase

There are two things to noteabout the Faith Promise:

• There is that which I am reach-ing out to God for in faith. Asking God for something that I do not yet possess, but I believe and have faith to receive.

• There is that which I promise to fulfil, which I step out in faith for within a limited time.

I know that many of us would not be able to give a lump sum, but I am asking that you would step out in faith for £1000, and I know that may be a smaller amount for some of you. You may like to give weekly or monthly until the overall amount of the Faith Promise is fulfilled. But I want you to step out in faith. Togeth-er let us move forward and see the Transformation Centre become a

reality. I want to put a time line on this so that by January 2013 all of our Faith Promises have been fulfilled.

Once again I want to thank you for standing together in faith for the next phase of the development and extension of Revival Fires.

It is Time to Awaken!In this dream, two close-fisted hands turned downward came before me. I knew that within each fist there was some type of important message. I knew it was important that I chose cor-rectly. I pondered what I should do. A voice came to me and said, “Make your choice.” I looked at both hands being offered and I heard myself say, “I choose right. I choose the right hand!” I knew it was important to choose cor-rectly even though there was an urgen-cy about the experience.

The right hand then turned over in the dream and the fingers opened up. Con-tained within the palm of the hand was a white capsule - similar to one which contains medicine or something of that nature. I watched as the white pill filled with heaven’s ingredients and realms of glistening glory. Instinctively, I began to bring the white pill to my mouth. I felt like Jeremiah or one of the prophets of old when they were told to “eat the scroll.” As I brought my hand to my mouth, I saw that there was a word written upon the pill. It stated: AWAKE.

The Lord often speaks to me in vision and dreams.

Recently I was given a message that came in the form of a vivid yet simple dream. It was a “matrix” type of dream. In that famous series of movies, there was a “red” or “blue” pill which you had to choose between - and it was very im-portant which pill you chose.

But before we go there - let’s look at what Paul the apostle stated in the book of Romans.

“Do this, knowing the time, that it is al-ready the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is al-most gone, and the day is near. There-fore let us lay aside the deeds of dark-ness and put on the armour of light. Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” Romans 13:11-14 NASV

I had actually “awakened” early that particular morning and felt from the Holy Spirit that I was to linger in bed for a moment. Suddenly, it seemed, that I fell into a deep sleep - possibly a trance type state - and I was given the follow-ing impacting revelatory encounter. I was awakened right at the exact time - adequate enough to get ready for my appointment to teach that day at the Global Awakening Conference. In-teresting, isn’t it?! I woke up just in time! Now for the dream itself...

“It is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep”


As I put the Awake pill in my mouth in the dream, suddenly I woke up in the natural. I was startled out of my sleep-state and was wide awake in a moment of time. The room was filled with the presence of the “fear of the Lord” as I pondered what just happened.

I intuitively knew that it was very im-portant in the days that lie ahead that we make wise life choices cen-tred around the “fear of the Lord”. It was very important that we make prudent choices in this crucial time. Of course, it is always important to make righteous decisions, but the life choices we make in this season will shape our direction over the next three years.

What Are You Really Saying?It is important that we get our mes-sage clear. People cannot rally around an unclear sound. They rally to a clear trumpet sound. What sound do you hear in this hour when confusion seems to run rampart across the globe?

So let me summarise for you what I de-rive from this electric dream:It is important that we choose right.It is important that we choose righteous-ness.It is important that we choose to find our pleasures at the right hand of God al-mighty - in His Son Jesus Christ.It is important that we choose heav-enly nutrients to feed our entire being in these days.We must feed ourselves the Word of pu-rity.We must see our present trials as tools of preparation for the days that lie ahead and choose the right course of action!We must shake ourselves out of our slumber.We must AWAKE!By choosing wisely we will be ready just in time for our next assignment in God!
