We are aware that stores can andoften do differ in size, floor space and equipment needs. Simply contact us and we will be pleased to assist you in putting together an opening package to suit your store and itsneeds.

As you open your location, we can also provide product features and technicalspecifications for major equipment items to assist you or your contractor in arrangingyour space. Also, included which you will find helpful is information regarding receivingyour equipment, pricing, payment terms and how to contact us when you need us.

Ordering Equipment:

Lead Times:

The majority of the items on the equipment list is stocked in the Burkett Restaurant

Equipment Warehouse or is available at the distributor’s warehouse. Due to fluctuations

in demand, there are may be times when we are out of stock on some items. Placingadvance orders allows us time to get items for you direct from the manufacturer ifnecessary. Special order items such as walk-in coolers and pizza ovens, which havelonger lead times, must be processed in a timely manner to ensure delivery for youropening. Openings can be very chaotic-placing your order in advance can help you planfor the unexpected.

Refurbished Equipment:

Burkett Restaurant Equipment is the largest restaurant supply company in the Midwestthat buys and refurbishes slightly used equipment. Please ask about any items on our

equipment price list that we may offer refurbished. All refurbished equipment passes amultipoint inspection before being shipped out of our warehouse. Make, model, and priceof our refurbished equipment may vary based on current in-stock availability. This givesour customers the option of buying new or used and can mean thousands of dollars insavings.

Payment Terms:

Burkett Restaurant Equipment accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard andVisa, as well as cash or checks. Stock items must be paid in full at the time of pick up or prior to shipping. Custom items as well as drop ship items must be paid in advance.

Pricing:

Special pricing is given to XXXXX franchisees. Due to price increases from themanufacturer some prices may change throughout the year. For example, the prices ofwalk-in coolers may fluctuate monthly.

Special Orders:

Regarding special orders, such as walk-in coolers, we will ask you to reconfirm anyspecifications, (dimensions, etc.) to ensure accuracy, and initial a copy of your orderstating that everything is precise. You will be given a copy of the signed order for yourrecords. No special orders can be processed without your signed approval. Special ordersor custom made items are not returnable. Please re-check your needs prior to ordering.

Quantities:

The quantities on our price lists are the quantities we recommend based on corporatestandards, however, we realize that each location’s quantities will differ based on size,etc.; therefore we have provided you with the option of filling in the amount on the orderforms based on your particular needs.



Shipping and Receiving Information:

Burkett Restaurant Equipment ships nationally as well as internationally by commoncarriers and major freight companies. We also offer the option of picking up any of the

stock items at our warehouse to save you money on shipping and handling charges and toavoid any wait that you may incur.

Standard delivery is “tailgate delivery”. The truck driver’s responsibility is to move thefreight to the back of the trailer; he is not required to provide any further assistance withmoving or installation. Please be sure to have enough help and/or the proper equipmentavailable for unloading and transporting merchandise upon delivery.

In most cases, additional options such as “inside delivery” or “set-in-place” services areavailable for an extra charge. We will be glad to give you a price if needed.

When the Truck Arrives: To assist you in planning for extra labor, we request that the trucking company contactyou 24 hours in advance to arrange an appointment for delivery. DELIVERY TIMESARE APPROXIMATE – unforeseen circumstances may delay your delivery.

Upon receipt of your shipment:

• Check entire shipment for any visible damage and correct number of items.

• Sign for number of pieces not number of pallets.

• Make a notation of shortages or damages on all copies of the freight bill.

• If damage, including hidden or concealed damage, or shortages are discovered,

save the cartons.• Contact us at 1-800-828-8564, for any discrepancies in receiving, not excluding

those listed above.

Installation and Set-Up:Certain Installation and Set Up for specific items i.e., oven, walk-in cooler, hood etc. may be arranged through Burkett Rest Equip, either through a local installer or Burkettauthorized installer. This is an additional charge since all franchisees may not requiresuch services. These services will be arranged at the time of order

Warranties and Returns:Most NEW equipment items are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Warrantyinformation should accompany the equipment. A typical warranty is for repair, notreplacement of equipment. All merchandise is not returnable after it has been used.See Company Policy for details on Used/Refurbished items.



COMPANY POLICIES, PROCEDURES & WARRANTIES

• Return Policy – All returns on new and reconditioned items must bemade within 7 days of purchase.

All new items must be returned in their original packaging ormust be accompanied with original packaging.

o All items must be unused and undamaged when returned.o

All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

• Warranty Policy - All used equipment will come with a 30-DayWarranty.

o Customers within a 30 mile radius of our facility will be

covered by a 30-Day Parts and Labor Warranty.o Customers outside the 30 mile radius of our service area will

be covered by a 30-Day Parts Warranty.o

Any outside service calls will result in a void of the warrantyunless authorized by Burkett Restaurant Equipment andSupplies.

o Additional extended warranties are available, please ask

All Special orders MUST be pre-paid.

• All cancellations on held items will be assessed a 20% restocking fee.

• All returned checks are subject to a $30.00 fee.

• All past due balances will be assessed a 2% monthly finance charge.(24% Annually)
