ERRATUM RESISTANCE AREA PRODUCT IN NEONATAL CEREBRAL ARTERIES Sir, In our recent article on haemodynamic indices derived from cerebral arteries of very low birth weight infants during the first week of life (Evans et al 1988), we inadvertently changed the exponent of the values of resistance area product (RAP) quoted in table 2 and fig 6 from 104 to 10 -4 , resulting in values that are 108 times too small. Typical values of RAP are therefore of the order of 105 kg m -2 s -I. The statistics and conclusions of our paper are unchanged by this error. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Sir,

In our recent article on haemodynamic indices derived from

cerebral arteries of very low birth weight infants during

the first week of life (Evans et al 1988), we inadvertently

changed the exponent of the values of resistance area

resulting in values that are 108 times too small. Typical
