IR + A + INFINITIVE Used to talk about future plans without

having to conjugate in the future tense Change the form of “ir” to match who

you’re talking about. You try:

I’m going to eat a hamburger.

She’s going to do her homework.

We’re going to run a lot.

TENER (E-IE) Remember that TENER is a stem-

changer. Only the forms inside the boot change. Tener is also a –go verb, which means

that the yo form has –go on the end and is exempt from the stem-change.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE BETWEEN DEFINITE AND INDEFINITE ARTICLES?

It depends on what you want to say. If you want to say:

“I want the book.”You would say:

Quiero el libro.”

If you want to say: “I want a pizza.”

You would say: “Quiero una pizza.”

One thing to note is that you NEVER use them together!
