Northumberland College in close partnership with Model Boot Camp have pio-

neered the development and delivery of the programmes. The delivery is designed

to be an active hands on experience learning through participation. We are the first

and only College so far in the UK to have successfully delivered the programme.

With that experience we are in a unique position to ensure each students gets the

best possible experience and realise their full potential in whichever area of the in-

dustry they specialise.

Unit 1 The Modelling Industry

An introduction providing you with a holistic understand-

ing of the careers and work within the industry

Unit 2 Photographic Techniques

Learn how to use the cameras and lighting equipment to

plan and produce a photographic portfolio.

Unit 3 Acting and Presentation Techniques

Learn and practise skills in acting and presentation which

will required for the modelling industry.

Unit 4 Hair and Beauty for the Modelling Industry

Learn the principles and application of hair and beauty

techniques within fashion and modelling industries.

Unit 5 Business Awareness

Learn how to develop a business plan, run a business

and maintain systems, processes and procedures includ-

ing self-employment

Unit 6 Catwalk Techniques for Models

Learn the principles of catwalk techniques required to pre-

pare or manage a successful catwalk performance.

Unit 7 Health and Fitness

Learn the principals of personal health and fitness

demonstrate, maintain and review personal health and

fitness plans.

The Level 2 programme; will develop the underpinning knowledge

and skills for the industry and enable progression to the Level 3 pro-

gramme. It is suited to learners with little or no experience of the

industry or who may be lacking formal qualifications.

Level 2 programme consists of:

Certificate in Photography

Certificate in Performance and Catwalk Skills

Certificate in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector

Award in Health and Fitness

The level 3 programme; builds the knowledge and skills required

in industry. The breath of content ensures students are adaptable

and able to work in a range of fields. A wide skillset is essential in

the industry as most companies are small and employees often fulfil

a range of roles. For those pursuing a modelling career it ensures

you have the skills to manage all aspects of your enterprise.

Level 3 programme consists of:

Diploma in Photographic and Fashion Modeling

Award in Fashion Styling Students working in the Photography studios

The Diploma in Photographic and Fashion Modeling is a City & Guilds

accredited industry specific course consisting of seven units
