Idea for 260mm support is to have a bottom plate clamped to the bloc with some possibility of adjusting the position with big screws
Even if we don’t have the magnets yet, we can see that the magnet is at the same position as the “front” cam motor (without the winding)
Solid Wire Sextupoles

For the FD we will use 2solid wire conductor sextupoleswith 2.13” bore. These magnetshave a position adjuster attached tothe yoke. These magnets are locatedat KEK and will be shipped to Annecy.
The magnet/adjuster assembly wouldbe bolted to the sextupole moverv-block stage. To do this, new holes must be drilled and tapped in the v-block stage to match the position adjuster base plate.
Already adjustable: our support will not need to
be adjustable?

Summary of important dimensions:
Sextupole Core:height to magnetic center = 8.819”/2 = 4.410” or 112.00mmPosition Adjuster:nominal height as seen in previous slide = 4.17” or 105.92mmapproximate minimum height = 3.42” or 86.87mmmaximum height = depends on bolt length, should keep at nominal or lower Sextupole Mover:height from bottom of T-plate to top v-block stage = ~6.25-6.5”or ~158.75-165.1mm (measurement taken from mover in Justin May’s office,may have different dimensions from movers at Annecy)
NOTE!!!Because this configuration is newly conceived, no assembly drawingsexist which depict the dimensions of magnetic center referenced from bottom of mover T-plate.
We need this dimension for support design
