Dear Festival Family, Welcome to an ennobling season filled with passion, redemption, injustice, fantasy, comedy, and salvation! All have been assembled to enlighten and direct you to a more edifying life. Enjoy some exciting “firsts” prepared just for you.

Experience wonder as Peter Pan soars to Neverland in the newly renovated and expanded Utah Theatre. Witness the Utah premiere of Puccini’s last completed work, Il Trittico (The Trilogy), in its entirety and Ragtime, one of the biggest successes on Broadway in the last two decades.

Hearken back to 1927’s iconic musical Show Boat that convinced the world the uniquely American art form of Musical Theatre was the new international way to tell stories in song. Reward yourself with the undisputed masterpiece of the musical stage, Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.

Let the hauntingly beautiful melodies and lyrics of Cole Porter wash over you as we pay homage to him in a special tribute. Welcome John Philip Sousa back to Logan in a rousing all-new celebration of marches and showstoppers. Witness the supreme genius of J.S. Bach as we present his monumental Mass in B Minor with the American Festival Chorus.

We have assembled our largest company of artists, instrumentalists, designers, directors, conductors, and technical professionals in our 24-year history. Enjoy education, entertainment, enlightenment, and edification. Come to your festival!

PUCCINI’S TRILOGYCome see Puccini’s legendary trilogy featuring three one-act operas. Il Tabarro is a passionate

work of realism set on a barge on the Seine near Paris. Suor Angelica is an uplifting tale

of religious redemption. The final act is Gianni Schicchi, a farce full of greed and comic

conniving starring Michael Ballam in the title role. Rarely seen in its entirety, Puccini’s Trilogy

is a can’t-miss on your opera bucket list!
