音楽家と一緒に、魔法の旅をしよう！音楽ワークショップの先駆者、マイケル・スペンサー氏や日本フィルのメンバーと一緒に、音楽の世界を「たんけん」してみませんか？魔法あり、歴史あり、ダンスあり――ヨーロッパに脈 と々通じる「旅芸人」の伝統も受け継ぐ『兵士の物語』は、20世紀を代表するロシアの作曲家、ストラヴィンスキーの名作。カラヤン広場にもぴったりのこの楽曲を皆で「体験」しましょう！

●マイケル・スペンサー元ロンドン交響楽団ヴァイオリン奏者、元英国ロイヤル・オペラ・ハウス教育部長。世界各地で教育・地域・

人材育成プログラムを開発・実践し、高い評価を得る。日本でも15年前より、プロオーケストラと教育プログ

ラムを実施。『ピーターと狼』（2008年アカデミー賞〔短編アニメ部門〕受賞）の教育ディレクター。2013年よ

り上野学園大学で「音楽ワークショップ・ファシリテーター養成講座」を日本で初開催し、注目を浴びる。

同大学客員教授。日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団コミュニケーション・ディレクター。

and the Japan Philharmonic!-A Cautionary Tale of a Soldier, a Violin…and a Magic Book

Let us begin a magic journey with the musicians!Why don’t you join the adventure exploring the world of music together with Michael Spencer, forerunner of music workshop, and the members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra? Full of magic, historical stories and dances, the Soldier’s Tale by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky is the masterpiece of the 20th Century. Karajan Place is the best place to experience this music drama upon the legacy of itinerants in Europe.

● Michael Spencer [JPO Communication Director]Formerly a violinist with the London Symphony Orchestra, moved from a career solely as a performer to become Head of Education at the Royal House. He left to become Managing Director of Sound Strategies a strategic communication company specializing in cultural enterprise. His keen interest in using the arts in community and educational contexts was combined with his passion for Japan when, for 15 years, he was education consultant to the Association of Japanese Symphony Orchestras. He was Education Director for the Oscar winning animated film of Peter and the Wolf and currently holds positions with Ueno Gakuen University (Visiting Professor, Research Fellow) and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra (Communication Director).

● Japan Philharmonic OrchestraFounded in 1956 under Akeo WATANABE. JPO is now based on the belief that “the originating culture through music”, expanding the activities of the three fields “Orchestra Concert”, “regional activity,” and “Education Program”. In the field of Education Programs, JPO has held the family concert series every summer since 1975. The orchestra members has also been successful in the other educational programs, which includes the hands-on workshops that nurture the children’s creativity, communication and cooperation skills, and gained a lot of attention not only for school children, but also as a training method for company employees.
