RealizadoresEn esta 2ª versión del Festival Internacional de Cine de Providencia 2012, queremos

seguir caminando junto a ustedes y ver crecer este Festival.

Nuestro objetivo es abrir un espacio de exhibición para vuestros trabajos, que serealizan con esmero y dedicación.

Para esta 2ª versión, traemos varias novedades que esperamos los incentive y motive.Nosotros estamos motivados y con ganas de seguir con este proyecto que en definitiva,

es para ustedes.

Como actividad cultural, es nuestro deber entregar ese espacio a sus realizacionesaudiovisuales, así como generar espacios de discusión y debate, respecto de lo que

sienten los jóvenes y de cómo ven la realidad que nos convoca.

Lo que nos convoca a realizar este proyecto, es el espacio de exhibición que re-quieren los jóvenes realizadores cinematográficos y audiovisuales.

EnglishOne of the most importants restorers of Chile. Editor, Postproducer, Ne-gative Cutter and Professor of Film Making in several universities and institutes. Actually works as a freelancer in the Restoring area of the Cine Arte Normandie Cinema, and in the Cineteca Nacional, among other insti-tutions such as the Cineteca of Valparaíso, and also in the areas of Editing, Negative Cutting and Postproduction.Actually is Professor in ARCIS; also gives the Restoring Workshop in DUOC, Viña del Mar and Valparaíso. Be-sides she works in the Project of Preservation and Restoring of works belonging to the Jorge Di Lauro’s film work, considering dismissed items and rolls of several emulsions from the films “Isla de Pascua” and “Templo Votivo de Maipú”.Restoring project of “El hechizo del trigal”. Actually this project is in its process of making copies for cinema in the UNAM univer-sity, in Mexico city. Es una de las restauradoras más importan-tes de Chile, montajista, post-productora de cine, cortadora de negativo y profesora de la Universidad ARCIS y DUOC UC. Actualmente se desempeña como free- lance en el área de restauración en el Cine Arte Normandie, en la Cineteca Nacional y en la “Cineteca de Val-paraíso”. Además trabaja en el proyecto de salvataje y restauración de obras pertenecien-tes a la cinematografía de Jorge Di Lauro, en cuanto a materiales correspondientes a des-cartes y rollos de diferentes emulsiones pertenecientes a las películas “Isla de Pascua” y “Templo Votivo de Maipú”. Proyecto de restauración “El hechizo del trigal”, actualmente este proyecto se encuentra en el proceso de copias en cine en el laboratorio de la UNAM en ciudad de México. Proyecto de restauración del documental “Puente Alto 1941”, pro-yecto a terminar en octubre de 2012. Proyecto de restauración de 8 rollos de 35mm, B/N, mudos, diferentes emulsiones, diferentes acontecimientos de archivos antiguos. Proyecto de restauración de archivos entregados por UCV TV a DUOC Valparaíso. Dirección fílmi-ca y montaje del documental de la presentación del libro “Hablemos de cine” de Héctor Ríos y Pepe Román. Realizador de la serie documental de cinco capítulos,“Knowing Chile” y co-produc-tor del filmdocumental “Torres del Paine”, por Ives Laffaye para Blue Berry Films, París. Realizador y Productor de la serie de microprogramas documentales de TV “Visiones” para Canal 13 ( 1.300 capítulos); de los programas “Unas y Otras” y “La Ruta de un Sue-ño” para TVN; de las series documentales “K2: La Montaña de las Montañas”, “La Aven-tura del Cambio” y “Crimen y Misterio” para UCTV. Su última realización cinematográfi-ca es “XS, la peor talla”, ganadora del premio al mejor largometraje sobre Juventud del Festival de Auburn, Australia, así como del premio del público en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Lebu 2004, Chile, y premio al mejor Actor 2005 del Festival de Cuenca, Ecua-dor. Actualmente se encuentra en etapa de Post Producción de su nueva película “Patago-nia de los Sueños” en Tierra del Fuego, en co-producción con Alemania, Argentina y Chile.

Journalist and Postgraduate in Documentary Film from the Universidad Autónoma of Barcelona. As a film maker has directed three award-winner documentaries: “Video Sombra” (2000), “Actores Secundarios” (2004) and “Angeles Negros” (2007). At the same time has worked as a film maker in prestigious television shows for the chilean TV networks and also as a researcher and assistant director in national and international documentaries.Actually works as a professor in several universities in Chile and is pre-senting “Cuentos sobre el futuro”, feature documentary film that re-marks the life of four young settlers, construction workers, that lives in the edges of the city of Santiago.Member and manager of the audiovisual production company Palenque Producciones. Her work has won several awards in many festivals, for ins-tance: the Documentary Festival of Ciudad de México DocsDF; the Interna-tional Festival EDOC, another cinema meeting, Ecuador; the International Cinema Festival of Guadalajara, México, New Script Authorship Award; the International Cinema Festival Sitges 2000, and the Filmets Awards for best local TV productions 2001, among many others.

Periodista y Máster en cine documental por la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Como realizadora, ha dirigido tres premiados do-cumentales: “Video Sombra” (2000), “Acto-res Secundarios” (2004) y “Angeles Negros” (2007). Paralelamente se ha desempeñado como realizadora en prestigiosos programas de la televisión chilena y como investigadora y asis-tente de dirección en documentales nacionales e internacionales. Actualmente realiza docencia en universidades chilenas y presenta “Cuentos sobre el futuro”, largometraje documental de observación sobre las vidas de cuatro jóvenes pobladores, obreros, que habitan a orillas de la ciudad de Santiago. Es socia y directora de la productora audiovisual Palenque Producciones. Con sus trabajos ha obtenido premios en Festival Documental de Ciudad de México DocsDF, Festival Internacional EDOC, encuentros del otro cine. Guionista y co director del video-clip “Arrebol”, de Los Jaivas; y del documental “Sangre Eterna: Making of”. Guionista de un capítulo original para la versión chilena de la serie “Los simuladores” (canal 13, 2005). Ganador del Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual 2005 de escritura de guión para largometraje. Es autor de los libros “Chile vs Hollywood” (Grijalbo, 1996), “Perdidos en la Pantalla” (Huelén, 1998), “Pantalla Prohibida” (Grijalbo, 2001) y “Cuentometrajes” (Alfaguara, 2011). Consejo de la Cultura y miembro del comité que designa las películas chilenas que participan en los premios Goya, Ariel y Oscar, los años 2011 y 2012. Investigador y guionista del documental “Mocha Dick”, ganador del Fondo de desarrollo Corfo. Su primera gran escuela fue Cineanimadores, en donde aprendió las bases y técnicas de la animación tradicional. Ha participando en la realización de producciones para cine, televisión en Europa, series de tv americanas y nacionales, videojuegos para E.E.U.U, producciones multimediales, publicidad, grafica en movimiento, video composición, animación 3D y efectos visuales. El año 2008 asistió a la GDC (Game Developers Conference), representando el área de arte de Wanakogames. San Francisco, Estados Unidos. Fue director de arte, animador en “Assault Heroes”, videojuego realizado por Wanakogames siendo elegido juego del año por la ING, llevándose el primer lugar en la categoría Live Arcade. Ha participado en el festival OFFF de Barcelona, quedando preseleccionado con su cortometraje “From my Room” siendo uno de sus compañeros de preselección Tim Burton. entre otros

He worked as the Art Director and Animator of “Assault Heroes”, videogame made by Wanakogames, wich was nominate as the Game of the Year byr the ING, winning the first price in the Live Arcade category. Has participate in the OFFF Festival, in Barcelona, being shortlisted with his short film “From my Room”, sharing this category with Tim Burton, among others.

ANIMACIÓN Y DOCUMENTAL Clase Magistral de animación con Óscar Andrade (Colombia)

Socio de Jaguar taller digital. Estudió en Universidad Nacional de Colombia la carrera de Cine y Tele-visión y ha sido profesor de Animación Digital. Es co director y productor ejecutivo del largometraje animado “Pequeñas Voces”, seleccionado en el 67o Festival de Cine de Venecia 2010 y ganador al mejor documental FICCI 2011, de Cartagena, así como de diversas series animadas. Ha sido director de la investigación de la “Historia de la Animación en Colombia”, para el Ministerio de Cultura de su país. También su experiencia lo ha llevado como diseñador Multimedia y Animador Gráfico.

Jaguar partner digital workshop. He studied at the National University of Colombia career of Film and Television and has been Professor of Digital Animation. It is co-director and executive producer of the animated feature “Small Voices” selected in the 67th Venice Film Festival 2010 and won the best documentary FICCI 2011, Cartagena, as well as various animated series. He was Director of Research of the “History of Animation in Colombia”, for the Ministry of Culture of his country. It also has taken its experience as Graphic Desig-ner and Animator Multimedia.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA CHARLA

Con el desarrollo vertiginoso que ha tenido el registro digital de imágenes se han producido una serie de cambios en cuanto a la forma de capturar, dentro de ellas una de las más sorprendentes ha sido el registro de imagen en movimiento efectuadas por cámaras que en su origen eran diseñadas para imágenes fijas. En los últimos años las cámaras DSRL (cámaras digitales reflex de un lente) han revolucionado el mercado tanto por su desarrollo técnico como por su decreciente valor económico. Son cámaras que están al alcance de cualquier aficionado a la fotografía y al vídeo. Pero hay que tener presente que son cámaras de foto, por lo tanto para su mejor rendimiento hay que conocer su estructura.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TALK

With the rapid development that has taken digital image registration there have been a number of changes in terms of how to capture, among them one of the most surprising has been the moving image recording made by cameras that originally were designed for still images. In recent years DSRL cameras (digital cameras a lens reflex) have revolutionized the market both for its technical development and its economic value decreasing. There are cameras that are available to any amateur photographer and video. But keep in mind that digital cameras are therefore for best performance you have to know its structure.

Domingo (30) un vendedor de frases callejero y un aficionado a la escritura de cuentos, vive en un galpón abandonado junto a su amigo Enrique (50), un vagabundo recolector de chatarra que sufre de una enfermedad terminal. Domingo empecinado en ayudar a su amigo y habiendo sido motivado por el, sacara provecho a sus cuentos dándolos a conocer a un librero quien lo ayudara en la publicación de estos.

“...Tras el fallecimiento de su madre, Ulises queda al cuidado de su única tía, Lucía.Al sentirse extraño e inadaptado frente a esta familia, Ulises decide huír a la casa de su madre, su antiguo hogar para sentir y revivir su pasado...Pero al llegar, deberá asumir que este ya no es su lugar...que ya no es su realidad”.

Domingo (30), a street sentence-seller and amateur story writer, lives in an abandoned storehouse with his friend Enrique (50), a garbage picker hobo that suffers from a terminal disease. Domingo, determined to help his friend and having been motivated by him, will profit out of his stories by showing them to a bookseller who will help him in order to publish them.

“...After his mother’s decease, Ulises has to take care of his only aunt, Lucía. When he begins to feel strange and maladjusted inside this new family, Ulises decides to run away to his mother’s house, his former home, in order to feel and revive his past... But when he arrives there, he will must assume that there isn’t his place anymore... it’s not his reality”.

In a dark Santiago, Franklin Espinoza, of 7 years old, witnesses the murder of his family by a Hired Assasins organization, from wich his father tried to move away. Now Franklin, a young student of 27 years old, is about to finish his revenge by eliminating his father’s former organization.
