INTRODUCTION

FIH Catering is a local catering company serving both business and private clients in

Penang Island and the surrounding island within a ten mile radius. Established in 2005,

the business has operated a catering kitchen and specialized in full-service catering and

event planning for upscale events in the region. The business event management,

event staff, a variety of cuisine for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and appetizers, non-

alcoholic beverage service, floral design, buffet food setting and decor, furniture rentals,

and other event services.

We do the full buffet spread for all your indoor functions, and we accompany you when

you bask in the sun for your outdoor activities. For big events such as Sports Day,

Wedding Reception, High-Tea event, Appreciation Dinner, Meeting and many more. FIH

Catering is also providing individually packed meals delivery services at reasonable

prices.

FIH Catering pride itself as a trusted brand that provides quality meal with a home-

cooked taste and the menus are backed up by our considerable experience in advising

clients on the most suitable options included in their catering services needed. We

constantly review our menus to reflect current tastes and eating habits to ensure we

focus in Malay cooking. Fih Catering Penang has been recognized mostly on a

crew. The owner, Ms. Haslina and Mr. DJozamir Managing Director of FIH has

strong background and experience in Hospitalities for over 15 years. FIH providing

an excellent service to the consumer because we employed the people from various

expertise and experience and having more than 5 years experience is service line.

Haslina ( Managing Director )

The founder of the company. Involved with the company since 1995 and

groomed as the assistant to (nama /Mak /Kak Ina) one of the Local Food

Restaurant name Sireh Corner located in Sungai Nibong Kecil, Penang.

Present, In FIH catering organization, she is the leader in preparing and organizing food

& beverages for the event.

Djodzamir @ Joe ( General Manager )

Having more than 15 years in Food & Service industries. Holding a

Diploma in Hospitality since 2008. His main reeponsibality is to attend

all customer need and requirement, plan, supervise and coordinate

the smooth running of every event.

(Ilah Rusli) Operation Supervisor

Having an experience almost 10 years in Hotel Industries. Has been working with 5

stars Hotel in various departments. His main duty is to oversee smooth operation during

the event. To ensure all equipment is in place and to make sure other crew are well

inform about their duties and responsibility in every function.

BANQUET STYLE AND SETTING

The styles of service at a banquet should reflect the tone of the event. You can opt for a

buffet or family-style service for an informal banquet or traditional plate service for a

more formal event.

Traditional Buffet

A traditional buffet has guests assembling their dinner as they walk along a table

of dishes. Guests can serve themselves or you can opt to have servers standing

behind the table.

Family Style

Family-style serving, also called "Table dhte," means several large dishes are

placed on each table. Guests serve themselves from the communal dishes. The

food can be fancy, as long as you select dishes that will still taste good 20

minutes after they are distributed

Stations Buffet

A stations buffet includes four or five manned serving stations, each presenting a

different course or cuisine. Some stations can have servers preparing food on

the spot, such as an omelet station. Other stations allow guests to assemble their

own meals. Carving stations feature a roast that a server carves from as needed.

With this type of service, you can seat your guests formally or allow them to

mingle and move around as they eat.
