Final Report
MSAJ Career Fair 2011 Prepared by
Career Fair 2011 Organizing Committee Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ) http://msaj.net
1. Introduction
Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ)
Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ) was established in the year 1976, with the objectives
of its formation are to unite and take care the welfare of Malaysian students in this country. This
association is open to all Malaysian students who are studying or taking courses for more than SIX
months. MSAJ is consists of 5 Divisions; Kanto, Kansai, Tohoku, Hokuriku and Kyuma (Kyusyu). As our
name explained, the association is managed and organized ONLY by students studying in Japan, mostly
on voluntarily basis.
Events and activities
Every year, MSAJ organized many events and activities all year round. The fiscal year started with
spring, and the activities are supporting the orientation of new JPA students in March, Hanami
(cherry-‐blossom viewing) in April, and Career Fair in May ( except 2011 ).
We also take part in ASEAN Festival, usually in June or July,
organized by ASEAN Youth Network in Japan (AYNJ), a
network among ASEAN student associations in Japan. In
summer, we will have Mount Fuji Climb and Independence
Day celebration.
Sports are very popular in autumn and that is when we
organize MSAJ Sports Festival and participate in AYNJ
Sports Festival. We usually held a Malaysian Night in winter, a
night where we invite Malaysian students to gather before
ending our fiscal year.

3. Participation
A total of 177 students participated in this event. The declining of number of participants compared to previous years ( 250-‐300 students ) was mainly due to the postponement of the event date caused by uncertainty surrounding post 11th March tragedy period.
