Biografie Flaminio Bertoni (1903 – 1964)

• 1903 – geboren in Masagno, Como Italië• 1918 – onderbreekt studie technische school

en gaat werken bij Macchi (locale autofabr.)

• 1924 – hoofd tekenaar bij Macchi• 1929 – begint eigen ontwerpstudio• 1931 – gaat wonen in Parijs• 1932 – gaat werken bij Citroën• 1934 – introductie Citroën Traction Avant• 1935 – start ontwerp Citroën TPV• 1948 – introductie Citroën 2CV

• 1955 – DS 19, Déesse, de godin wordt op de autosalon van Parijs geïntroduceerd, verkoop 1e dag 12,000 auto’s

• 1957 – tentoonstelling van de DS op de Triennale Milaan

• 1961 – Laatste ontwerp: de Citroën Ami 6• 1963 – Flaminio Bertoni overleden in Parijs
