In subsea hydrocarbon fielddevelopment, Technip’s activitiesinclude the design, manufactureand installation of rigid andflexible subsea pipelines andumbilicals.Thanks to our portfolio oftechnologies, industrial andoperational assets on allcontinents and a state-of-the artfleet, we offer a unique verticallyintegrated model in the industry.

In the Offshore business, ouractivities include engineering,procurement, construction (EPC)and installation of fixed and floatingplatforms.We use a complete range of technological solutions to answerthe challenges faced by our clients.We are leveraging our expertise infull-range of offshore facilities, aswell as our strong know-how withadded-value process skills andproprietary platform design.

In the Onshore business, we deliver to our clients all the experience we have acquired for almost 60 years, combined with a large technology solutions portfolio. We are working on onshore facilities that the energy sector needs, in particular for oil and gas industry players.Technip is one of the global leader for the refining business and petrochemical units. We also reinforced our position on project management consultancy (PMC) activities, by leveraging our expertise in the management of complex projects.

Flexi FrancePart of the Technip group and located in France at Le Trait in Normandy, Flexi France is the world’s most effective flexible pipe manufacturing facility. Flexible pipe manufacture, Research and Development and vessels mobilization are the main activities of this “all-in-one” unit, awarded “Best Factory of the Year*” by a professional respected French publication.

A leading companyFlexi France developed, in partnership with IFP Energies Nouvelles, the technology to extract subsea hydrocarbon. Its entire production is exported. For more than 40 years, Technip has been the flexible pipe worldwide leader, designing and manufacturing over 10,000km of highly technical flexible pipes.

InnovativeThrough its Research & Development department, innovation is at the heart of this company renowned as the flexible pipe center of expertise for the Group. To meet the technological challenges within its demanding environment, Technip is constantly investing in R&D. These investments allow Flexi France to keep its competitive advantage strengthening its technological leadership.

ResponsibleFlexi France works in collaboration with more than 600 suppliers and subcontractors of which approximatively 500 are French.

1971 Start of Coflexip, supplier of high-pressure flexible pipes

1972 First project - Emeraude field in Congo

1974 Opening of the Le Trait facility

1975 First dynamic riser delivered in Indonesia and first installation in the North Sea

1982 Delivery of the first 1,000th km of product

1983 Commissioning of a new fabrication product line

1983 First Integrated Service Umbilical ISU® delivered for a project in Norway

1985 First manufacture of high temperature PVdF structure for a project in Spain

1988 First ISO 9001 certification

1990 First manufacture of a 19” ID riser for a project in Norway

1992 Inauguration of a dedicated client representative building and expansion of the reel storage area

2006 First mobilisation of the Portable Pipelay System (PPS)

2007 First smoothbore dynamic riser for gas export on Åsgard, Norway

2010 Performance increase with 4” 20,000 psi

2010 Deep Immersion Performance (DIP) full scale tests performed for 7’’ and 9’’ ID in 3,000m of water depth

2012 Manufacture and qualification of 27km of flowlines and risers IPB in 1,200 mwd for Papa Terra field, Brazil
