„Edit“. In der Regel steht der Dateiname links oben in eckigen

Klammern.

(Dateinamenendung):

• Deutsche Texte ..\german\ *.GER

• Englische Texte ..\english\ *.ENG

• Französische Texte ..\french\ *.FRA

• Spanische Texte ..\spanish\ *.SPA

Faktor z.B. Sensor 0..200 bar

0..10 V, dann ist der Faktor = 20

Offset z.B. Sensor 0..100 bar

0..10 V, beim Messen jedoch 5 bar = 0 Volt

In

Messwerte.

• Öffnen Sie wieder langsam das Sperrventil.

You can make changes to texts as follows.

You can adapt all text files to suit your own requirements, or you can

add to them or shorten them. Use the Windows Editor here (ASCII-

Editor) e.g. „Edit“. The file name is generally located at the top left in

square brackets.

By opening the file you wish to change using an ASCII editor, you can

then adapt it.

Refer to the help file above for details of how to do this.

All texts are available in English and German. A maximum of 5 different

languages can be created. The relevant files are located in

subdirectories of the Fluid Lab directory and differ by virtue of their

suffix (file name extension):

• German texts ..\german\ *.GER

• English texts ..\english\ *.ENG

• French texts ..\french\ *.FRA

• Spanish texts ..\spanish\ *.SPA

• Italien texts ..\italian\ *.ITA

All words that are used in the software are stored in an ASCII file:

• German = PROP.GER

• English = PROP.ENG

• ... etc.

You may adapt these words to suit your requirements. However, you

must not alter the structure. The new names should not be longer than

the old ones as otherwise the name may no longer appear subsequently

in the software.

The software is activated by clicking on the spanner icon. The analogue

sensor signal, generally 0 to 10 V, must be converted for the physical

quantity to be displayed.

Physical quantity = measured value • factor + offset

Factor E.g. sensor 0..200 bar

 0..10 V, then the factor = 20

Offset E.g. sensor 0..100 bar

 0..10 V, but 5 bar = 0 Volt during measurement

55 bar = 5 Volt; then, offset = -5.

It may also be necessary to adapt the factor.

The channel number is indicated on the extreme left, followed by the

currently applied voltage. A filter can be added if the signal fluctuates

greatly (0...4-fold mean value). This attenuation makes the reactions of

the signals sluggish. The actual measured physical value is displayed in

the right-hand output window.

1.5

Channel allocation:

Channel 0 = Pressure sensor (generally downstream of

the pump)

Channels 1, 2 = Pressure sensor (generally on the cylinder)

Channel 3 = Volumetric flow rate sensor

The digital outputs can be tested with the toggle switches.

In this menu, there are also two further possible settings for the rapid

mouse over the diagram area. This facilitates discussion of the

measurement results.

1. Simple hydraulic circuit: 2 pressures and the volumetric flow rate

are to be measured.

2. A hydaulic circuit is activated via a PLC. The response of the

hydraulic component is to be represented. Besides the pressure

ratios, the states of the solenoid valves and the positions of the limit

switches can be displayed.

Here, the characteristic curve of a hydraulic system (electric motor,

hydraulic pump, pressure relief valve) can be realised. To this end, the

pressure and the volumentric flow rate of the system are measured. The

result is plotted on a diagram. The hydraulic output is additionally

calculated on the basis of the pressure and the volumetric flow rate, and

is also recorded.

• Set up the hydraulic system as shown in the circuit diagram.

• Fully open the shut-off valve.

• Start the software.

• Slowly close the shut-off valve. Observe the measured values.

• Slowly re-open the shut-off valve.

By slow adjustment of the pressure relief valve downstream of the

throttle, a counter pressure can be created whereby ∆p is reduced as

well as qv. Conduct the experiment from pressure-relief valve fully open

to pressure-relief valve fully closed. Then adjust the throttle cross-

section and repeat opening and closing of the pressure relief valve.
