with high humidity (AO Z r. h. or more) for a long

time, water condensed in the air conditioner may

drop and may wet and spoil furniture, etc.. Do not connect a grounding wire to a

gas pipe, water pipe, lightning rod or

ground wire of a telephone.

lf a grounding is incorrect, it may cause

an electric shock.

. lf the earth leakage breaker is not

installed, it may cause an electric shock.

. lf gas leaks and collects around the unit, it may

I The range that the signal can reach is about 6 m

when pointed at the front of the indoor unit.I When the button is pressed, one or two beeps will

be heard from the indoor unit. if no sound is heard,

operate again.

I Use the remote controller carefully.

lf it is dropped, thrown or gets wet, it may not operate.

I lnstall the remote controller holder in a position

where the signal reception sound(beep)can be heard

from the indoor unit when the ffi Uruon is pressed.

How to install./remove the remote controller

finstafting ltnsert the remote controller downward.

fRemoving-lPull it up.

Reference for replacing batteries

When the signal does not operate the indoor unit, or

the display becomes dim, replace the batteries with

new alkaline batteries (size AAA).

Replace 2 batteries with new batteries of the sametype.

Do not use rechargeable batteries.

To prevent from liquid leakage, take out all batteries

when the remote controller is not going to be used for

a long time.

The service life of an alkaline battery is about 1 year.

However, since the recommended usable time limit is

indicated (month,/year)on the bottom of the battery, a

battery the time limit of which is approaching may be-

come exhaust sooner.

When the batteries of the remote controller run out ofbattery or remote controller malfuntcions. Emergencyoperation can be set by the Emergency operationswitch.

Press the Emergency operation switch.

Details of operation are shown as below. However, thetemperature control does not work for about 30 min-utes at first and the unit is set to the continuous op-eration mode with the fan speed set to " Medium "

Details of operation

According to the room temperature when the operationstarts, the operation mode is automatically selected betweenCOOL, DRY and HEAT. However, when operation is startedagain within 2 hours after the operation is selected. Theoperation mode selected first is not changed even if the roomtemperature changes. lf the operation mode does not matchthe room condition, select the required operation mode bypressing tne OtJ o o :Q, button.

ln"DRY"operationIThe temperature control(temperature setting) cannot bedone.lThe room temperature is slightly lowered in this operationmode.

[f,|l The humidity at which we feel comfortableWhen air contains too much moisture, we leel clammy. Humidity is related with temperature andwind. The humidity at which we feel comfoftable is 60 % -75Yo RH. in summer and 55 "/" -70"/oRH. in winter.

It is convenient to set the timerfor the time when you go to bed,

when you get home, when you

get up, etc.

Perform FAN operation for 3 or 4 hoursto dry the inside of the air conditioner.

To perform FAN poeration, the highest settemperature is selected the MANUALCOOLOPERATION mode(Refer to page 12)

////// tTrun off the breaker, then disconnect thepower plug.

Disconnect the power plug or turn off the breakerwhen the air conditioner is not going to be usedfor a long time.Dirt may collect and may cause a fire.

Remove the batteries from the remotecontroller.

Clean the air filter and install it in theindoor unit.(Refer to page 21 for cleaning it. )

Check that the air inlet and outlet ofindoor,/outdoor unit are not blocked.

Turn off the breaker, disconnect the

power plug. XClean using soft dry cloth.

Do not use gasoline, benzine, polishing powder and

detergent. And do not spray with insecticide. The unit

may be damaged.

AcautionWhen the unit is to be cleaned, switch off and disconnect

the power plug or turn off the breaker.

Since the fan rotates at high speed during operation, it

may cause an injury.

i-AcautionWhen the air filter is to be removed, do not touch the

detergent in warm water.

deformed.

After washing with water, dry well in theshade.I Do not expose the air filter to direct sunlight orheat from a fire when drying it.

lnstall the air filter.

Remove the air filter and then remove

the deodorizing filter ( gray spongetype).I The deodorizing filiter is harmless tohumans . However, to keep its effect, be sure

to hold the frame and to not touch thesudace of the filter with your hand.

Soak the filter together with frame in

Lukewarm water for about 15 minutes.I lf dirt is conspicuous , use a solution ofdetergent in lukewarm water.

I Do not use a scrubbing brush or sponge. lt

may damage the surface of the filter.

I Do not use a chlorine detergent.

After washing with water,/ lukewarmwater, dry completely in the shade.

lnstall the deodorizing filter(gray spongetype)and then install the air filter.

When the capacity is lowered because of dirt,etc.,it is neccessary to replace the deodorizing filter,zair cleaning filter.

Remove the deodorizing filter(graysponge type).

lnstall the air filter. Securely close thefront panel.

Deodorizing filterI Cleaning is neccessary about once every2 weeks.

However, if dirt is conspicuous, clean more often.

I When the color of the filter is not restored even if the filter

is washed following the procedure shown on page 21 or

when the filter becomes black. replace the filter with a new

one.

I Standard interval for the filter replacement is about 1 year.

Optionalparts

ruRemove the air filter.

Remove the air cleaning filter(whitebellow type).

lnstall the air filter. Securely closethe front panel.

Air cleaning filterI lf the air cleaning filter is clogged, it may lower the

unit's capacity or cause condensation at the air outlet.

I The air cleaning filter is disposable. The standard

usable term is about 4 months. However, if the color of

the filter turns to dark brown, replace soon.
