In the morning of 26 December 2004, there was a terrible earthquake under the sea near Sumatra, Indonesia. This earthquake created a huge tsunami That traveled thousands of kilometres across the Indian Ocean,This Tsunami killed 300000 people in Indonesia, the Maldives. Some waves reached heights of 20km , throwing boats into the trees and destroying houses and land. The city of Banda Aceh was almost completely destroyed, losing 200000 people in just 15 minutes.
