    Honor, curiosity, experience: feelings that accompanied me on the way to Gourmet Festival Sylt. On the North See island of seven Michelin stars restaurants Balzs lvedy and me were invited to Johannes Kings two-star Slring Hof.

    Here, local materials are put in the food and on the table too. Bark, moss or stone from the see are part of the setting. We were proud to charm Slring Hofs guests with our goose liver terrine with gold and cinnamon smoke.

    Chinese tradition of duck roasting draws back to the age of Southern and Northern Dynasties. In the 20th century Peking Duck became a trademark delicacy that was favored by many political leaders during their visits. It has been served in the Rikshaw for 5 years for the delight of our guests. Marinated for 2 days in Chinese traditional spices, baked for 1,5 hours hanging in the oven, sliced thinly, served with Chinese pancakes, homemade plum sauce, spicy roasted cashew nuts and vegetable julienne.
