Print buyers can have the biggest impact on reducing the footprint of a publication by selecting the paper supplier with the lowest emissions

We’ve maintained performance improvements compared to a historical, 2007 reduction goal; operating at .37 tonne CO2/admt in 2014 or a 46% reduction in GHG emissions.
Sappi mills combined use nearly 80% renewable energy.
2014 investment at Somerset provides ability to burn natural gas and increase lime kiln efficiency, reduce oil consumption and operating costs.
Looking ahead, we are working to reduce total energy consumption by 5%.
Sappi offers Green-e certified products
Paper buyers that select certified papers and use a printer that is also using certified electricity are now able to apply a logo to printed pieces reflecting their responsible choice.
