Vanesse Chew, 18, is the daughter of Wayne Sam Chew and Winnie Chew. She will attendOregon State University, take the remaining classes she needs to earn an associate's degreeand work toward a bachelor's degree in science. She will major in science/premed and minorin business, and participate in many service organizations and clubs at college. In high school,she participated in volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, track, Colors Club, Challenge Day,High Schools Against Cancer, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America,Student Senate, Student Body Leadership, Science Club and Japanese Club. She was juniorclass secretary, High Schools Against Cancer treasurer, and the president of the NationalHonor Society. She wants to be the first in her family to graduate from college. She will earna bachelor's degree and pursue further education if needed, and she plans to have a careerwhere she can give back to the community and continue to help others.
Maarika Gering, 18, is the daughter of Dr. Paul and Tracy Gering. She will attend the
College of Idaho in Caldwell. She will major in biology and minor in political economy, healthprofessions studies and music. In high school, she participated in marching band, concertband, Destination ImagiNation and National Honor Society, serving one year as historian. Shewill intern this summer with Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, in Washington, D.C. She plans togo to medical school and become an anesthesiologist or general surgeon.
Makenzi Higinbotham, 18, is the daughter of Barbara and Todd Higinbotham. She will fin-ish her associate's degree at TVCC before transferring to an optometry school in Oregon tocomplete her undergraduate studies. In high school, she participated in volleyball, basketball,track, National Honor Society, High Schoolers Against Cancer, Link Crew Leader and youthadvisory board. She one day wants to open her own optometry business.
Taylor Kemble, 18, is the daughter of Bob and Wendy Kemble. She will attend NorthwestNazarene University to study nursing. In high school, she participated in National Honor

Jessenia Tadeo-Magana, 18, is the daughter of Isidro Tadeo and Adela Magana. After at-tending TVCC, she plans to transfer to OHSU in Portland to complete her master's degree innursing. In high school, she participated in SMILE Club, Youth Advocates for Health,National Honor Society, varsity track, JV soccer and JV basketball. Immediately after highschool she plans to earn her CNA so she can support her daughter while pursuing her othergoals.
Brecklin Milton, 18, is the daughter of Jeff and Kim Milton. She will serve the OregonFFA Association as the 2014-15 state vice president. After serving the state office, she willattend Oregon State University in the fall of 2015 to major in agricultural marketing and
ultimately earn her master's in the field. In highschool, she was involved in FFA, FBLA, NationalHonor Society, Student Senate, tennis, volleyball,High Schools Against Cancer, Be the Change,Culinary Club and Japanese Club. After college, shewants to stay just as involved and give back to commu-nities like this one.
Aliya Yano, 17, is the daughter of Kris and Sheryl Yano. She will attendArizona State University as a member of the honors college and major in bio-medical engineering. In high school, she participated in soccer, basketball,track, NHS, FBLA and HSAC.
Katelyn Derrick, 17, is the daughter of Michael and Diahann Derrick. Shewill attend the University of Oregon to major in psychology. She plans to pur-sue bachelor's and master's degrees, study abroad and go on various servicetrips. In high school, she participated in Future Business Leaders of America,Ontario Nazarene Beyond the Edge, National Honor Society, Science Club,High Schools Against Cancer and Student Senate. She would like to become aclinical psychologist somewhere in Western Oregon.
Alexandria Landaverde, 17, is daughter of Gerardo and MonicaLandaverde. She will attend the College of Idaho to pursue pre-pharmacy studies. In highschool, she was involved in girls golf, Japanese Club, National Honor Society, StudentSenate, Leadership, Science Club and SMILE Club, as well as numerous fundraisers andvolunteer programs. She attended Girls State. After her pre-pharmacy studies, she planson attending Idaho State University to pursue her dream of becoming a pharmacist.
Steven Saldivar, 18, is the son of Vince and Kristina Saldivar. He will attend Boise StateUniversity to study computer engineering. In high school, he participated in NationalHonor Society, OHS Leadership, Future Business Leaders of America, Boys State, jazzband, soccer and tennis.
Ashley Suyematsu, 18, is the daughter of Marc and Pamela Suyematsu. She will attendWestminster College in Salt Lake City to major in elementary education with a minor inart. In high school, she participated in Japanese Club, National Honor Society, ScienceClub and Student Senate. She would like to study abroad and further grow relations withour sister city, Osakasayama, Japan.

Devin Rindlisbacher, 19, is the son of Brian and Karla Rindlisbacher. He plans to major in computer infor-mation systems at Utah Valley University or The University of Advancing Technology. In high school, he wasan Eagle Scout, football manager and participated in tennis, band and FBLA. He leaves July 15 for an LDS mis-sion in Lima, Peru.
Austin Wagstaff, 18, is the son of Brent and Karena Wagstaff. He will attend Idaho State University orSouthern Utah University to play football and become a pharmacist. In high school, he participated in studentcouncil, football, basketball, track, National Honor Society and was student body president. He plans to serve atwo-year LDS mission in Donetsk, Ukraine.
Alekzander Sky Garcia, 18, is the son of Jose Luis Garcia and Maria Rosario del Pacheco-Garcia. He will at-tend Tennessee State University in Nashville to major in pre-pharmacy and minor in business administration. Hewill also go through the joint-pharmacy program with Howard University. In high school, he participated in foot-ball, wrestling, band, tennis, the Ford Institute Leadership Program, FFA and track. Matea Berria, 17, is the daughter of Matt and Melanie Berria. She will attend theUniversity of Idaho this fall, majoring in biology and pre-physical therapy through thehonors program. In high school, she was a four-year member of FFA and BusinessProfessionals of America, served three years in Natural Helpers, was a two-year STEMClub member, National Honor Society member and served as Associated Student Bodysecretary. She held leadership positions in FFA and BPA and competed at the state andnational levels. Her goal is to be a pediatric physical therapist. She would also like totravel to learn and experience the world and its different cultures.
Matthias Bruveleit, 18, is the son of Bryan and Michelle Bruveleit. He will attendBrigham Young University-Idaho to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer scienceand transfer to Brigham Young University or DigiPen Institute of Technology inRedmond to pursue a master's degree in computer science. He is an Eagle Scout and in
high school participated in marching band, tennis, NationalHonor Society, Natural Helpers, Be the Change Team and STEMClub. He qualified for nationals in Business Professionals ofAmerica. He will serve a mission in Bogota, Colombia, for hischurch in August and ultimately wants to become a software en-gineer. He also wants to learn Japanese and find a loving wife.
Nik Fagen is the son of John and Patti Fagen. He will attendthe U.S. Naval Academy. In high school, he was an Associated Student Body of-ficer and marching band drum major. He also participated in soccer, wrestling, trackand field, FFA, STEM Club, BPA, Natural Helpers and National Honor Society. Trevor Finch, 18, is the son of Alan and Lori Finch. He will attend Brigham Young Universityand will pursue a bachelor's degree from the Marriott School of Business, majoring in businessmanagement with an emphasis in business strategies. Madison Perdue, 18, is the daughter of Greg and Pam Perdue. She will study biology atUniversity of Idaho. In high school, she participated in cheerleading, FFA and was president ofBusiness Professionals of America and National Honor Society. She hopes to go to medical schoolto find a cure for migraines and then travel the world.
Jessica Roberts, 18, is the daughter of Russ and Laura Roberts. She plans to attend BrighamYoung University in Provo, Utah. In high school, she was involved in FFA, including competingat the national level, National Honor Society, STEM Club and church youth group.
Bryton Smith, 17, is the son of Amy and Justin Smith. He will attend Brigham Young Universityin Provo, Utah, for a year, then serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.He plans to major in mechanical engineering. In high school, he was involved in tennis, soccer,FFA, BPA, STEM Club and National Honor Society. He competed nationally in FFA and BPA.After college, he plans to start a family and come back to a small town like Fruitland, establish agreat career and have a life full of fun and excitement.
Abby Tesnohlidek, 18, is the daughter of Tony and Barbara Tesnohlidek. She will pursue a bi-ology major at the University of Idaho. In high school, she participated in FFA, basketball, volley-ball, tennis, Business Professionals of America, STEM Club, Natural Helpers and National HonorSociety, and she was an Associated Student Body officer. She plans to pursue something in the med-ical field, travel the world and make a difference. Eventually she wants to settle in a small town.
