4. NOUNS & CASES
Substantivos em sueco possuem dois gêneros: comum e neutro, no qual os adjetivos devem concordar com tais gêneros. Esses gêneros são representados pelos artigos indefinidos: en and ett. Na lista do vocabulário, o substantivo seguido de (n) significa que é um substantivo neutro e por causa disso é usado o artigo indefinido ett. A maioria dos substantivos em sueco é do gênero comum (ou comum de dois gêneros) e são representados pelo artigo indefinido en.
O único caso de substantivo que é usado em sueco como genitivo (que marca um gênero) é aquele que marca a posse, e é formado basicamente pela adição do -s ao substantivo. E se por acaso o substantivo já terminar em -s, então não se adiciona nada. Anders bok = livro do Anders.
5. ARTICLES & DEMONSTRATIVES
Existem dois artigos indefinidos em sueco: en and ett. En é usado na maioria dos substantivos (quase todos os substantivos denotando pessoas usam en), entao, no caso, devemos observer e aprender quais artigos vão com cada substantivo. O artigo definido (O/A) em sueco nao é separado como no portugues. Ele é simplesmente agregado ao final do substantivo. Repare que os substantivos en terminados em vogal mantém a vogal e acrescenta-se –n, ao invés de acrescentar -en. E ett substantivos terminados em -e apenas acrescenta -t.

Esse, Este, aquele, aquilo sao expressos em sueco usando-se den, det ou de mais as palavras här (aqui) e där (lá). O substantivo é sempre definido
apos esses demosntrativos. E se algum adjetivo seguir esses demosntrativos, eles devem ser acrescidos de -a no final.

Man can be translated as one, we, they or the people in general. When referring to nouns as it, you use den for en nouns, and det for ett nouns. Formerly, du was the informal you and ni was the formal, but these distinctions are rarely used anymore. The forms in parentheses are the informal ways of spelling these words, which is closer to the actual pronunciation.
7. TO BE & TO HAVE
The present and past tenses of verbs in Swedish are very simple to conjugate. All the forms are the same for each personal pronoun. The
infinitive of the verb to be in Swedish is vara, and the conjugated present tense form is är and the past tense is var. The infinitive of the verb to have is ha, and the conjugated present tense form is har and the past tense is hade.

To form the future tense of verbs, just add ska before the infinitive. Jag ska vara = I will be; hon ska ha = she will have; etc.
