バッフレッシュⅡは開発当初から一貫した思想を持っています。�フィルタは除去性能、圧力損失等の性能をかえることなく、厚みは公称1インチ（25mm：最大値28mm）が最良と考え、取扱いの容易さ�の為の軽量化と、洗浄時の安全性を常に追求し改善することです。�現在製作されるバッフレッシュⅡは発売以来すべての部品に至るまで幾多の点が改善され、他に類のない完成した製品になっています。�

The Baffresh Ⅱ has been developed by a consistent design philosophy since the development of its initial model.�

That is to say, as for the filter, we think that its most appropriate thickness may be 1 inch (nominal 25 mm : max 28 mm), while keeping its performance such as arrestance and pressure loss etc. unchanged. Also, the steady and ongoing pursuif and improvemenf are necessary, we�

think, in order to make the fiIter compact and light weight for easy handIing and to make it safe when cleaning.�

The Baffresh Ⅱ complies with the requirements of grease removing devices set by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and is also certified by the JFEA.

厚さ25mm　25mm in Thickness従来のメッシュ型グリスフィルタは厚さ1インチ（25mm）が�一般的でした。バッフレッシュⅡも同じ厚み（25mm：最大値�28mm）を採用し、取扱いが容易になりました。�

The conventional mesh-type grease filters were generally one inch (25 mm)�thick. The Baffresh Ⅱ also adopts the same nominal 25 mm: max 28 mm in�thickness and the handling becomes easier.

軽量です。　Light Weight単純な構造、薄型設計により極端に軽量化した結果、10V（フィル�タ10枚入）～12V（同12枚入）型式の大風量の処理用取付枠�（チヤンバ）が可能になりました。�

By adopting the simple structure and thin design, the weight of fiIter becomes�extremely light. Consequently, the attaching frames (chambers), such as the type�10V (including 10 sheets of filter) to the type 12V (including 12 sheets of filter),�which filtrate a great deal of air, become possible to use.

In order to enable the Baffreshes to be applied not only to the kitchen facilities�which will be designed in future, but also to the hoods and ducts which are already�installed, a wide variety of standard sizes (9 types of size) are prepared.

For filters, we consider the safety of handlers with the greatest care when filters�are disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled by them, thus making the every�corners round processed, and the front parts of chambers and oil a pans are all�turned up and the edges are pressed for the safety handling.

バッフレッシュⅡの機能�Mechanison of BAFFRESHⅡ�グリス除去装置に於ける排気中に含まれる油脂等の付着成分の除去性能は、総務省消防庁の「グリス除去装置の構造等の基準（平成８年８月15日付消防予第162号）」にて75％以上と定められております。当社のバッフレッシュⅡは、除去性能80.19％�（JFEA公式テスト値）であり、上記基準を十分満足致します。�The removal performance of adherent ingredients such as grease, etc. contained in the exhaust air with grease removing devices is required to be 75% or�more in the "Standard on the Structures, etc. of Grease Removing Devices" (No162 of ShoboYo for August 15,1996) promulgated by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. The Baffresh Ⅱ has the removal performance of 80.19% (the value determined at an official test by the JFEA) amply meeting the above standard.

油分を含む空気が2枚のバッフルプレートで構成されたフィルタ面を通過する際、①圧縮→②膨張→③圧縮→④膨張の一連の変化をうけます。この時発生する衝突→方向転換の作用にともない、油分のみが分離され、主に二次側バッフルプレートに付着します。付着した油分は障害のないステンレス鋼板上を下方に流れます。�Removal performance (80.19% according to tests conducted by the JFEA) When air containing�grease particIes passes through the air filter which comprises two baffle plates, this air is subjected�in turn to the processes of (1) compression, (2) expansion, (3) compression and (4) expansion. The�action of the impacts and directional transformation which occur at this time cause the grease�portion to be separated from the air, and this grease adheres mostly to the secondary baffle plate.�This grease then runs downward along sacompletely smooth stainless steel plate.

2フィルタの下部を構成する枠は独特の2重構造になっており、二次側バッフルプレートを流れてきた油分は、そのままフィルタ外部に排出されます。これにより、油分は枠中央部の油分排出口とは無関係に排出され、枠内部での油分留保は全くありません。（実用新案出願済）�Adhesion rate (5.81% according to tests conducted by the JFEA) The frame which forms the lower�section of the baffle plates has a special two-layer construction which automatically forces�the grease, which runs down from the baffle plate out of the filter. Because of this, the grease is�removed from the filter without going through the grease removal hole in the middle of the�frame, and as a consequence no grease collects inside the frame. 例題　Example

バッフレッシユⅡの型式を正しく選定するために、先ずレンジ・フードの処理風量を決定します。計算式は次の通りです。�

レンジの熱量を仮に40.6kWとして処理風量を計算しますと、次のようになります。�　　　V＝40×0.931×40.6÷60＝25.2m3/min

フードサイズは厨房器の上端からフード下端までの距離の─程度大きくすることになっているが、実際にはその部屋の状態等により困難なことが多く、通常は厨房器の端より各四方に150mm程度大きくする。�

In order to select the proper model of the BaffreshⅡ, first, calculate�the air volume which will be treated by the range hood. Calculating�ex-pression is as follows.

2 バッフレッシュⅡの性能　Performance of BaffreshⅡ�バッフレッシュⅡ・グリスフィルタの性能は当社グリスフィルター性能試験機により、各風量における効率試験をすべておこない、許容範囲内での御使用を薦めております。バッフレッシュⅡは、面風速1m/sec圧力損矢90Paが性能上の基準点に設計され、ご使用については　面風速 1.0m/sec（圧力損失 90Pa）から�　　　面風速 1.16m/sec（圧力損失120Pa）を推奨しております。�又面風速と圧力損失の関係は当社JIS B9908形式2試験装置にて、正確に測定しており、バッフレッシュⅡの選定に際し、十分に安心の上、御使用いただける測定値です。�As for the performance of the Baffresh Ⅱ grease filters, we have carried out the various efficiency tests required at each air volume wholly by our grease filter performance test equipment. Thus we recommend the selection and use of appropriate grease filter within the permissible range presented here.�Our Baffresh Ⅱ has been designed that its efficiency standards would become to be the point that the air velocity was 1 m/sec and pressure loss was 90Pa, and the permissible range for the selection and use of grease filter is:�　from Air Velocity 1.0 m/sec (Pressure Loss 90Pa)�　to 　Air Velocity 1.16 m/sec (Pressure Loss 120Pa)�In addition, the correlation existing between air velocity and pressure loss is measured precisely by our JIS B9908 from 2 test equipment. Accordingly, these measured values and their graphs shown may be used as the most reliable data to select the model of the Baffresh.

3 バッフレッシュⅡの型式選定　Model Selection of BaffreshⅡ�バッフレッシユⅡの型式選定は下記の風量・圧力損失線図、もしくは選定表（次頁）よりおこなってください。�Select the appropriate BaffreshⅡ model according to the air volume/pressure loss chart shown below or �the model selection tables at pages 3 and 4.

V：Effective exhaust air volume (Filtrated air volume) (m3/min)�K：A constant gained from the calculation that multiplies the theoretical � exhaust volume, which arises from unit combustion of a fuel, by 40.�Q：Maximum consumption volume of fuel (kW or kg/h)

Provided that the heat capacity of range is 40.6kilowatt, and calculate�the filtrated air volume, then the solution is as follows.�　　　V=40×0.931×40.6÷60=25.2m3/min

V＝KQ※フードサイズの決定�

Properly speaking, the hood size should be larger than that of the kitchen equipment (such�as a range etc.). As a rule, a quarter of the distance between the top part of the kitchen�equipment and the bottom part of the hood is a standard of added extent. However, under�actual condition, this standard is often difficult to adopt, owing to the layout or size of the�kitchen room and so on. So, usually, the added extent may be about 150 mm measured from�the each side of the kitchen equipment as shown in the figures above.

バッフレッシュⅡのチャンバはその性格上現場にてプレハブ組立式を採用しています。�これは迅速な納入と、輸送、現場搬入に最も適している為で、組立方法もすべてネジ止め作業だけで完了するなど細心の設計を行っています。�

Chamber of the BaffreshⅡ adopts the field�prefab system from its trait.�Because this system is most suitable for the�rapid delivery and transport, and to easily car-�ry the products in the field. AIso, as for the�assembly method, we carefully design that the�assembly may be completed only by tightening�the screws.

■フードの作成例�Setting Up Example of Hood

①側板とフィルタ受を固定する。�Fix the side boards and the filter�support.

②側板とフィルタカバーを固定する。�Fix the filter covers to the side boards.

③オイルパンをパンチ錠で止める。�Attach the oil pan by using the catch clip.

④フィルタをはめこむ。�Attach the filters.

①側板とフィルタ受を固定する。�Fix the side boards and the filter�support.

②側板に背フランジ（上、下共通部品）�　2本を固定する。�Fix the two backside flanges（upper and lower,�common parts）to the side boards.

③側板とフィルタカバーを固定する。�　オイルパンをパンチ錠で止める。�Fix the filter covers to the side boards.�Then, attach the oil pan by using the catch clip.

バッフレッシュⅡの取付けは右図のものがー般的です。まずフードは天井板と共に建物の骨組より吊り下げます。次にフードの最上部の水平部分を利用してチャンバをフードに固定します。この場合フード及びチャンバの大きさにより、フード自体に強度を与える様、十分な配慮をして下さい。�次にＢＦガードⅡを、ダンパー着脱用バーを使用して、フード上部に取付けて下さい。�

The installation of the BaffreshⅡ is generally carried out as�shown in diagram at right. First, hang the hood together�with the ceiling board from the framwork of a building.�Then, using the topmost plain part of the hood, attach the�chamber to the hood. In this case, considering the size of�the hood and chamber, be careful to reinforce the ceiling�board and the hood itself.�Next, use the damper removal bar to install the BF�guardⅡ to the top of the hood.

バッフレッシュⅡの洗浄について�Cleaning of BAFFRESHⅡ�

バッフレッシュⅡは、その使用目的から、分解による完全な洗浄が可能な様、本体部とフタ部から構成されています。�分解は、写真の様に左右の側板（把手がついている枠）を押しながらフタ部を上に持ち上げるだけで外れます。洗浄は、市販の洗剤を利用するか、専用のグリスフィルタ洗浄液を2～5倍程度にうすめ、数時間浸漬します。温水での洗浄はより効果的です。�

分解の際はゴム手袋等を使用し素手では取扱わない様にして下さい。�

TheBaffreshⅡis composed of the main body and the cover�part in order to make it possible to disassemble and clean it�perfectly, from, its basic role.�To disassemble the two parts, while pushing the both side�boards (right and left frames which are equipped with the�handles), simply hold up the cover part, and then the cover�part is detaches. (See the photographs at right). For clean-�ing, use detergent on the market or dilute the exclusive�grease filter detergent with two thru five times much water�and steep the filter in it for two or three hours. It may be�more effective to clean the filter by using hot water.

When disassembling the filter, it is recommended to use�rubber gloves, etc. Do not handle the filter with bare hands.

総務省消防庁の技術基準適合品。�羽根ケーシング共、材質は1.5m/mステンレス鋼板を使用していま�す。�
