CEO Gbl reviews facilities in schools Srinagar, Mar 17: Chief Edu- cation Officer Ganderbal reviewed facilities at higher secondary, high, middle and primary schools of Lar area’s Tullamulla zone. A handout said the CEO interacted with the students of class 11th and 12th of HSS Lar. “He took administrative action against two truant teachers at MS Lar. He also covered MDM components of the schools and gave direc- tions allied to hygiene of the kitchen sheds. He directed the stakeholders of MS Lar to initiate felling of poplar trees to avoid any hazard,” the handout said. Daily wagers seek permanent jobs Srinagar, Mar 17: Casual labourers of Fisheries depart- ment staged protest demon- stration at Press Enclave here, demanding regularization of their services. The protestors assembled under the banner of All J&K Fish- eries Casual Labourers Associa- tion and raised slogans. They said that they have been serving the department from past 15 years but “The succes- sive governments had agreed to frame a regularization policy and promised to form a high power commiee in this regard. Howev- er, nothing was done on ground.” They appealed Governor NN Vohra to personally intervene in the maer and direct authorities to frame policy for the regulariza- tion of their services. DAK for framing of healthcare policy Srinagar, Mar 17: Doctors Association Kashmir has hailed the recent initiatives taken by Governor adminis- tration regarding reforms in medical education gazetted services and bringing them at par with MCI guidelines. “It will not only benefit concerned doctors but will go a long way to improve the teaching standards of our medical institutions,” DAK spokesman Mir Mushtaq said. However, he added, “Similar measures need to be taken about the doctors working in rural health ser- vices, both consultants and medical officers.” Dr Umar Sadat’s demise condoled Demos held in Ganderbal Ganderbal, Mar 17: The residents of Repora and its adjoining areas in Lar Tehsil here staged protest demonstration at Lar bypass, alleging government indifference towards the development of the area. "Our area has been ignored on all fronts of development. We are facing water shortage, dis- rupted power supply and dilapi- dated roads," the protesters said. Meanwhile, hundreds of labourers working for clay and stone extraction in Yungoora and Safapora areas here staged pro- tests against ban on extraction of stones. "We appreciate ban on using of heavy machines like JCBs and cranes to dig soil and deface the earth but prohibiting manual labour is not fair," the pro- testing labourers said. Srinagar, Mar 17: Various separatist and mainstream leaders have condoled the demise of Dr Umar Sadat Shah, nephew of renowned lawyer Advocate Zaffar Ahmad Shah. Jammu Kashmir Libera- tion Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed grief over the demise of Dr Umar. Yasin Malik along with other Front leaders partici- pated in the funeral prayers of the deceased and offered condolences to the bereaved family. Terming the demise as his personal loss, Yasin Malik said, “The death of this young man has shat- tered us all and we pray for his heavenly abode.” Meanwhile, Peoples Dem- ocratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti, party gen- eral secretary Nizamudin Bhat and senior leader and MLC Muhammad Khurshid Aalam have expressed grief over the demise of Dr Umar. Govt working hard to ensure efficient admin: DewanSrinagar, Mar 17: Advisor to Governor, Parvez Dewan Thursday said that govern-ment is keen to provide all basic facilities to public besides resolving their issues on priority.

While meeting different delegations, Dewan said government is working hard to reach out to people and ensure effective and efficient administration at the door steps of people.

He said the aim of public Darbars is to ensure that less people visit Jammu sec-

retariat to pursue their cases besides redressal of day to day matters.

During the public Darbar, the Advisor gave patient hear-ing to the issues and demands put forth by the public and gave on spot directions to

the concerned authorities for timely redressal of the public grievances.

Several delegations including members of NYC, Physical Education gradu-ates, political migrants, employees of various departments, deputations from Eidgah, Shah Mohalla, Humhama and members of Adventure Tour Operators Association put forth issues of service matters, compen-sation, SROs, employment and other pertaining to their day to day affairs.

Deputations call on Khurshid Ganai

Srinagar, Mar 17: Several deputations from different parts of Kashmir Thursday called on the Advisor to Gov-ernor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai here and apprised him about issues confronting them.

The issues pertained to road connectivity, flood relief, health services and other day-to-day public concerns were put forth by the delegations. The Advi-sor gave patient hearing to the issues and demands put forth by the deputations and asked the concerned authorities to take immedi-ate measure for time bound redressal of the same.

Deputations of daily-wagers of PHE, Irrigation

and Flood Control, Social Welfare and other depart-ments also apprised him of their issues pertaining to regularization and promo-tions. The helpers working in ICDS demanded release of their pending salary.

The Advisor assured them that their issues will be resolved at the earliest.

The deputations which also met the Advisor included members of Auqaf Committees, unemployed graduates, artisans, entre-preneurs, industrialists, students and others.

The Advisor assured them that all possible sup-port will be provided to them by the government.

CEO Gbl reviews facilities in schools Srinagar, Mar 17: Chief Edu-cation Officer Ganderbal reviewed facilities at higher secondary, high, middle and primary schools of Lar area’s Tullamulla zone.

A handout said the CEO interacted with the students of class 11th and 12th of HSS Lar.

“He took administrative action against two truant teachers at MS Lar. He also covered MDM components of the schools and gave direc-tions allied to hygiene of the kitchen sheds. He directed the stakeholders of MS Lar to initiate felling of poplar trees to avoid any hazard,” the handout said.

Daily wagers seek permanent jobsSrinagar, Mar 17: Casual labourers of Fisheries depart-ment staged protest demon-stration at Press Enclave here, demanding regularization of their services.

The protestors assembled under the banner of All J&K Fish-eries Casual Labourers Associa-tion and raised slogans.

They said that they have been serving the department from past 15 years but “The succes-sive governments had agreed to frame a regularization policy and promised to form a high power committee in this regard. Howev-er, nothing was done on ground.”

They appealed Governor NN Vohra to personally intervene in the matter and direct authorities to frame policy for the regulariza-tion of their services.

DAK for framing of healthcare policy Srinagar, Mar 17: Doctors Association Kashmir has hailed the recent initiatives taken by Governor adminis-tration regarding reforms in medical education gazetted services and bringing them at par with MCI guidelines.

“It will not only benefit concerned doctors but will

go a long way to improve the teaching standards of our medical institutions,” DAK spokesman Mir Mushtaq said.

However, he added, “Similar measures need to be taken about the doctors working in rural health ser-vices, both consultants and medical officers.”

Dr Umar Sadat’s demise condoled

Demos held in GanderbalGanderbal, Mar 17: The residents of Repora and its adjoining areas in Lar Tehsil here staged protest demonstration at Lar bypass, alleging government indifference towards the development of the area. "Our area has been ignored on all fronts of development. We are facing water shortage, dis-rupted power supply and dilapi-dated roads," the protesters said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of labourers working for clay and stone extraction in Yungoora and Safapora areas here staged pro-tests against ban on extraction of stones. "We appreciate ban on using of heavy machines like JCBs and cranes to dig soil and deface the earth but prohibiting manual labour is not fair," the pro-testing labourers said.

Srinagar, Mar 17: Various separatist and mainstream leaders have condoled the demise of Dr Umar Sadat Shah, nephew of renowned lawyer Advocate Zaffar Ahmad Shah.

Jammu Kashmir Libera-tion Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed grief over the demise of Dr Umar.

Yasin Malik along with other Front leaders partici-pated in the funeral prayers of the deceased and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Terming the demise as his personal loss, Yasin

Malik said, “The death of this young man has shat-tered us all and we pray for his heavenly abode.”

Meanwhile, Peoples Dem-ocratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti, party gen-eral secretary Nizamudin Bhat and senior leader and MLC Muhammad Khurshid Aalam have expressed grief over the demise of Dr Umar.

They also prayed for eter-nal peace to the departed soul.

Hurriyat Conference (M) senior leader Javaid Ahmad Mir has also expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise of Dr Umar.
