盈利组织，成立于
1989。在过去的 30 年
里，华联会一直致力于提供一个供华人社区互动交流的平台。我们希望通过
华联会的努力给社区带来更多的和谐、欢乐和繁荣。华联会通常每年会举办
三个中国传统节日的庆祝活动，分别是端午野餐会，中秋茶话会和春节联欢
会。我们也组织一些小型活动并且在积极探索新的机会以便更好的服务于华
人社区。值此新春之际，华联会衷心感谢大家多年来的支持和参与，并希望
您继续参加华联会未来的活动。我们更欢迎新人加入到我们的组织团队来。

WCCA is a non-profit organization founded in 1989. In the past three decades,
WCCA has been dedicated to providing a platform for community interaction and
social networking. Through our effort, we hope to bring more harmony, happiness
and prosperity to the community. Each year, WCCA hosts some activities to
celebrate traditional Chinese festivals, including Dragon Boat festival, Mid-Autumn
festival, and Chinese New Year festival. We also organize some other casual
activities and explore new opportunities where we can serve the community better.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and involvement in
the past years and hope you would continue to participate and enjoy WCCA’s future
events and activities. We welcome new members to join WCCA. Wish everyone a

2008 年初春，西康州几位音乐舞蹈爱好者创立了一个非盈利、纯艺术表演团体“凤凰
艺术团。”团队以中国各民族的舞蹈、服装、 乐器、音乐为载体，旨以用民族艺术的
形式让更多的人了解中国传统的文化底蕴，欣赏中国各民族艺术。
如今凤凰艺术团已走过了十一个春秋。在过去的十一年里，凤凰艺术团的演出超过
一百多场。 其中包括美国和平队在耶鲁大学举办的筹资义演，康州龙舟艺术节，丹
城多文化艺术节，纽约亚洲艺术节等等。凤凰艺术团呈现的多姿多彩的表演源于中
国多民族，包括彝族、傣族、维吾尔族等等，以及乐器表演和独唱等。
凤凰艺术团愿以歌舞会友，服务社区，弘扬民族文化。
Phoenix Performing Arts was founded by a group of dance and music enthusiasts in western
Connecticut in the spring of 2008. It is a non-profit organization that presents a world of
Chinese dance and musical instruments from many ethnic groups that live in harmony with
nature. Through the unique blend of costumes, dance, and musical instruments, the troupe
aims to enrich the community and promote greater understanding and enjoyment of the
traditional Chinese cultural heritage and diverse ethnic arts. The name “Phoenix” not only
represents Chinese tradition but symbolizes auspiciousness and immortality.
Via 11 years of persistent hard work and community dedication, Phoenix Performing Arts
has performed in over a hundred events in Connecticut and New York areas, including fund
rallies by the U.S. Peace Corps at Yale University, the Dragon Boat Festival in Connecticut,
the Danbury Multicultural Festival, the Asian New Year Festival in New York, etc. The
colorful performance presented by the Phoenix Performing Arts comes from the multi-ethnic
groups in China, including Yi, Dai, Uygur, etc. as well as musical performances and solos.
Phoenix Performing Arts would love to meet you with our dance and musical performances
in your own communities, and bring you to a world of the national culture, art and harmony
with nature.

华夏中文学校康州分校是一个康州注册的
非盈利组织。学校向所有对中国文化和语
言感兴趣的儿童，成人开放。无论种族，肤色，宗教，性别，国籍，年龄，婚姻，
或残疾，学校平等对待任何人。其宗旨为教授中文，弘扬中华文化，服务社区，促
使中华文化融入美国多元文化并为其作出贡献。
华夏中文学校康州分校成立于 2005 年春，是华夏中文学校系统的成员之一，也是康
州唯一的华夏分校。学生生源主要来自康州西部、周边郡县以及纽约上州邻近地
区。家庭背景更是多元化，除了来自中国大陆的家庭之外，还有领养中国孩子的美
国家庭以及日本、泰国等亚洲其它国家和地区人士的家庭。学校现有课程包括
Chinese as Second Language (CSL), 学前班，一年级至七年级以及成人班。每周上
课时间为：星期六 13:30 分至 16:30 分，前两小时为中文课，后一小时为文化课。
文化课包括美术，舞蹈，手工，绘画等。
学校董事会及校务人员由一批中国大陆旅美学者、教授以及高科技人才组成，他们
都是义务为大家服务，老师们也都是从社区的热心中文教育的人士中精心选拔出。
他们拥有扎实的专业知识，丰富的教学经验；师资中亦不乏毕业于中美名校教育学
专业和其他专业的高材生和博士。董事会，管理团队和家长会组成了学校的三大基
石。学校董事会决定学校的重要政策和发展方向。校长和管理团队处理学校日常工
作。家长会协助管理人员并提供重要反馈和建议。

Huaxia Chinese School of Connecticut brings great Chinese learning experience to
local community! Enrollment still open for 2018-2019 school year
Huaxia Chinese School of Connecticut is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization
registered with the State of Connecticut since 2005. The mission of the school is to
teach modern Chinese language, Chinese culture and its heritage. It is affiliated with
Huaxia Chinese School, one of the biggest Chinese language schools in US with over
7000 students in the Northeast region. The Connecticut branch offers Chinese
classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 using Ma-Liping Chinese Curriculum, and
Chinese as Second Language (CSL) course.
Lower grades curriculum focuses on Chinese language basics (Pin-Yin and simple
vocabulary); Higher grades focus on comprehensive Chinese speaking, reading and
writing, as well as helping students prepare for Chinese SAT and AP tests. CSL class
teaches practical conversational Chinese. The school also offers cultural classes such
as Arts & Crafts, Chess and Drawing.
In addition, the school serves as a Chinese cultural center to foster mutual
understanding and appreciation between the Chinese Americans and other ethnic
groups in the community. Over the last decade, the graduates of the school have
been eventually admitted by many top universities such as Harvard University,
Stanford University, MIT, Chicago University, UC Berkeley, etc. Classes meet on
Saturdays 1:30 – 4:30 pm at the Broadview Middle School, 72 Hospital

The avant-garde New England Youth
Symphony (a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization) was founded by the famous
violinist - Shan Jiang. Some members of the orchestra are from Yale University
alumni families. NEYS provides free classes for children and the young with
disabilities. NEYS actively involved in various types of performances in recent
years; they have successfully held concerts in the United Nations, Yale and other
Ivy League campus.

茉莉花艺术团是位于康州西部的艺术性非营利组织，成立于 2010 年 3 月。我们立志

茉莉花艺术团有民族器乐队，歌唱队，传统及现代舞蹈队，模特队，相声/小品队和
儿童队组成。
在过去九年的不懈努力和热情交流过程中，我们吸引和吸收了近五十位艺术爱好者
和他们的家人加入我们艺术团，这其中包括来自各国各民族的友人。我们的节目内

Jasmine Performing arts (JPA) is a non-profit organization established in the spring
of 2010 in Western Connecticut dedicated to bringing the Asian culture to the New
England area and serving the local community.
JPA consists of several sub teams: The Asian Traditional Instrument Team, Eastern
Folk Dance & Modern Dance, Modeling, Chorus, Cross Talk/Drama, and Children
Team.
During the past nine years, we have attracted dozens of talented members and
eastern culture lovers. Our members come from various countries and diverse
cultural backgrounds. We are very proud of the varieties, quantities and qualities of
our programs. Creativity, variety and quality are the strengths of JPA. If you are

丹城华人宣道会是本地最早成立的华人非营利组织，在 1980 年代当
教会还未 成立以前，中国新年聚餐通常是由当时的查经班成员来组
织，然后借用美国 教会的场地来举办，当时的新年晚餐是本地中国
朋友们一年一度见面的最好 机会，吸引了不少朋友来参加。
随后教会在 1990 年正式成立，除了周日的敬拜， 周五的查经， 专
题讨论，团 契活动外，也经常在周四的早晨举办妇女聚会，提供见
证分享，生活须知， 儿女教养等专题给慕道朋友们参加。之后有越
来越多的长辈们来到此地探 亲，教会又开始了常青团契， 让年长的
父母们有一个互相交流与学习圣经的 固定聚会，此二项聚会已进行
了多年，至今仍是慕道朋友们期盼参加的聚会。
