The weather was relatively good, the sun was hidden behind the clouds and it wasnt as hot as the previous two days.

Pingting had already wiped the sweat from her face and was just about to leave when Mother Chen approached her.

Pingting had been spoiled for a long time in the Jing Anwang Prefecture, so she took no notice in the changes. Though her lifestyle

was very different, she was flexible and therefore she didnt complain.

For unkno wn reasons, the seamstresses had been scheduled near Lady Huas room.

What beautiful fabric, I wish I could wear something like this when I marry. I cant imagine how beautiful Ill be! The sea mstresses

sat inside, in their own corner. Their heads were bent over while their needles weaved across the fabric.

Mother Chen hurried stood up and asked, why are you here, my lady?

So shes Lady Hua. Pingting had been outside doing coarse work, so this was the first time she had actually seen Lady. All of the

seamstresses stood up.

Youre here too?

Lady Hua wasnt interested in Mother Chen anymore. She glanced at the red fabric and annoyance crossed her eyes. She turned

towards the maids and eyed them, as if searching for someone.

She carefully measured everyone with her eyes, finally letting her eyes rest on Pingting.

You, come with me. Lady Hua pointed at Pingting and walked away, not waiting for an answer.

Me? Pingting pointed to herself in surprise and looked at Mother Chen.

that she actually believed her words held no ill intentions.

Pingting giggled nervously, not knowing what to do.

Hm, thats good. Dont be scared, Im not a violent person actually. She paused before saying, I need you to go with me ou tside

the city and we will be going to a shrine. When we get there, I need you to put on my clothes and play the qin, without a fuss. Oh

yeah, I forgot, can you play qin? She had only just remembered such an important detail.

Pingting nodded slightly, a little

Thats fine. Lady Hua had another thought, dont worry. If anything goes wrong, you ve still got me. She patted her chest and

fluttered her eyelashes. She looked really cute.

Pingting knew immediately that Lady was supposed to pay her respects before her marriage. Her fianc would appreciate a

The carriage had been prepared by afternoon. The housekeeper was outside already. Though her father loved her dearly, she was

still the lady of a big family, so she didnt get many chances to leave the prefect ure.

Hong will accompany me, Lady declared when they came out. Lady Hua led Pingting inside the carriage. Lady Huas requests we re

usually unusual so her bringing in a seamstress did not surprise the other people.

Pngting was wearing the usual clothes and Lady Hua had brought other clothes in a bag. Back in Jing Anwang Prefecture, she had

overcome many obstacles with her master. Seeing how Lady Hua was so cute and naive, her energy came back and she was eager

to help.

Luckily the carriage was quite big, so the two girls had plenty of room.

Ive never seen you before.

Pingting touched her hair, I used to be outside washing clothes. How was Lady supposed to see me?

Washing clothes? Thats hard. Lady wriggled and put a lolly in her mouth. Want one?

Pingting liked sweets too and her master always saved her some. She nodded, yes please.

Lady Hua laughed and placed some in Pingtings mouth.

The lollys fragrance spread in her mouth. Pingting had been treated as a normal maid for exactly two mon ths so she really missed

the flavour, its really good.

As the two people talked, they gradually began to warm up to each other.

Soon, the carriage left the city gates.

The carriage was put down and the housekeeper yelled, Lady were here!

Lady Hua answered back and led Pingting outside. A monk welcomed them inside. It looked like the Hua family were regular visitors.

The housekeeper and the drivers were not allowed to go inside only Pingting and Lady Hua were allowed to do so. They locked the

door behind them.

The housekeeper occasionally looks through the window, so put on my clothes and sit there. Play the qin. Lady blinked,

remember, dont pause for too long. If they cant hear qin, the monks and Housekeeper might get suspicious.

She said this while taking out the clothes she had prepared. She wiped the makeup off her face as she dressed up as a man. She

gave her original clothes to Pingting and winked. She was very fast so she mustve done the same thing before.

Pingting had also seen secret passageways in Jing Anwang Prefecture. It seemed that every big house would have some so she

couldnt help smiling and nodding, while Lady Hua disappeared.

She sat she was asked to, hands lightly touching the qin.

She loved to play the qin. The faster the notes were, the more she loved it.

In Jing Anwang Prefecture, she was a legendary girl. Not many had personally seen her, but everything knew her battle tactics,

needlework and her spectacular qin technique

consulting your feelings first?

Lady Huas face darkened at the mention of marriage. Father may love me, but business is also important hed never let me

a big crowd of robbers and they were very nervous. The housekeeper finally plucked the courage, bravely stood in front of the

carriage and talked to a man, most likely the commander. Hey mister, umour lady is in this carriage. We were just in the sh rine

so we donated most of our money. Im sorry

The young man was striking and he saw how the housekeeper had stammered so badly. He laughed, Housekeeper, you have

misunderstood me. I am here on behalf of my master. Turning to the carriage, he spoke again, please let Lady accept this.

Lady Hua w asnt sure what exactly was going on but she was very much amused, what are you going to give me?

Ladys qin technique was spectacular. Master has asked me to give this guqin to Lady.

Ladys ear.

Who is your master? asked Lady Hua.

is right, he will see you again. After saying this, he bowed again and carefully gave the guqin to the housekeeper. Then he left.

The others left as well.
