conceptWater is an element with lots of different characteristics and seems to be most fas-cinating for humankind. It‘s a quick-change artist with its three different physical condi-tions, it gives living space- and elixir, can be transparent and opaque, fast floating or still standing..., soft or powerfull.

The idea is to join these different states of water in one building - the waterforum. The stock is the Oker-river dam embodiing the powerfull and opaque side of water. Ac-complishing the arch the dam is formed to a circle to show the elements other pro-perties. Like the dam is built as a massive construction the annex is formed as a big trussed girder. The nearly hovering circle stands for the transparent and soft side of water.

When passing the waterforum the visi-tors can experience the versatility of water through architecture.

conceptAn interdisciplinary team consisting of stu-dents of architecture, electrical engineering and marketing designed a solar charging station, which is going to be built in the near future on the Brunswick University Campus.

The design was chosen for the station to evolve into a well recognized image pro-moter. Additionally the charging technolo-gy was placed clearly visible to attract the custumors‘ interest in new mobility possibi-lities as well as in regenerative energy tech-nologies.

SolarHub offers a universal solution regard-less of location or technology. It therefore is the beginning of a new development in which sustainabilty, mobility and architec-ture are merged.

The wave-like formed roof construction is based on torque lines using interlocking steel profiles. The technical equipment is placed in a pil-lar, duplicating one steel profile adapting the wide of the vibrator.

conceptThe Winery³ is located in the Ahr valley in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Ahr valley is well known as one of the best wine-growing are-as in Germany. That is the reason why many vintners focus on the production of high quality wine instead of mass products. Espe-cially the 35km-long Redwine-footpath gives a good impression of the vineyards and also of the work of the vintners.

The Winery³’s concept takes up both of these elements: the impression of the sur-rounding landscape as well as the produc-tion of wine. For the wine prdouction there is the gravity-flow-method used, a technique which allows the transportation just with gravity. This prevents the blow up of trub and increases the quality.

The building is trenched into the hill in the middle of the vines. Thus the building let arise a wine cellar with good climatic conditions for the wine storage. The idea of the Redwine-footpath is to experience the way of a grape. The Winery³ makes (this) come alive from the vintage, over the production to the tasting.

conceptThe aim of the master plan for the cam-pus+ is to connect the three campuses of the University of Brunswick integrating also living areas for students and families.To archieve this we developed a main-campus-route with different spots, like for culture, mobility, consumption or nature. Associated there are also the university buildings.The living spaces are well-placed at the rear of the university building with less hights and connected with narrow paths.

conceptThe idea is to witness sport from the in and outside of the new sporthall as well as to inte-grate the building in the surrounding.To obtain the urbanistic connection between the main school building and municipal mu-seum the sporthall is dug into the ground around 4,5 meters and receives a transpa-rent building envelope. The three stories inside the hall act different funtions like changing area, gymnastic and sports hall. From each level and also from outside, it‘s posible to observe the sporting activities. To back the open concept the construction is clearly visible and structured.

conceptOne cube occupies four interlocking town-houses. Each townhouse has a different floorplan with rooms directed to the road and to the patioside. This ensures quiet rooms for all inhabitants. The two different facade types create a priva-te or an open atmosphere inside.
