　平成27年4月から子ども・子育て支援新制度がス

タートしました。多摩市は、待機児童ゼロに向けた保

育所定員拡大や子どもたちの居場所づくり、親への

支援など、妊娠から18歳まで切れ目のないサポートを

行っています。また、近年、少子高齢化や国際化、情

報化などが進み、教育を取り巻く環境が大きく変化し

ています。市は、児童・生徒一人ひとりの状況にプラス

になるよう、学校だけではなく、地域や家庭とも連携して

子どもたちを育てる活動を進めています。

At Tama City, our students work as volunteers at events held by the local communities, child welfare homes, and child care facilities for school age children. The City issues Student Volunteer Activity Certificates to students who have volunteered at facilities and businesses related to the Board of Education or Tama City.

In April 2015, we started our new Children and Child Rearing Support Program. The city is expanding the capacity of nursery schools to eliminate the children waiting for an opening and creating places for children to go to after school, as well as providing support to the parents, all in an effort to provide support with no holes. Additionally, in response to strengthening trends in low birthrate and longevity, internationalization, and higher accessibilty to IT, the city is working with schools, communities, and families to nurture them so that we can have a positive effect on each and every child and student.

　年齢や障害の有無などに関わらず、市民の誰もが身

体面での健康だけではなく、生きがいを感じ、安心安全

で豊かな生活を送れる「健康」で「幸せ」なまちづくりを進

めています。

　そのために、健康づくり・介護予防についての講習や

イベントの開催、高齢者・障がい者の就労支援や社会

Starting in FY 2013, the city has looked for issues that prevent the elderly from actively living in the communities they are accustomed to, and hold training classes for leaders in preventative care for the elderly where they can gain necessary knowledge in preventative care. Leaders organize local events for the elderly and provide instruction with exercising.

We are promoting the creation of a healthy and happy community where all of our citizens are not just physically healthy but also have a purpose in life and can lead good lives safely and securely. In order to realize this, we are focusing our efforts on holding classes and events regarding healthy living and preventative care, and supporting job opportunities and participation in society for the elderly and physically challenged.

　介護予防体操だけでなく、勉強会や介護予防健診「おたっしゃ21」のお手伝いなどをしています。やりがいを持って活動していますし、一人でも多くの方が外に出るきっかけになればと思っています。

市民の健康増進のため、月例ウオーキングなど、健康づくり活動を推進しています。

We want to do anything that will support the elderly and keep them active.In addtion to preventative care exercises, I also help out with study groups and Otasshya 21 (health check-ups). I have sense of purpose, and I want to give more people reasons to come out into the community.

　平成23年3月の東日本大震災以降、近所付き合い

を大切にする動きが強まっていることから、地域を支える

人材育成や仕組みの整備を進めています。地域のコ

ミュニティセンターを地域づくりの拠点として、そして、市

民の居場所として活用できるよう整備しています。

　また、市民の豊かな心を育むため、スポーツや文化・

芸術に接するイベントを開催するなど、市民や地域間交

流を通して、元気なまちづくりを進めています。

PLUS!市民活動

At our City’ s community centers and civic centers, a variety of civic activities are being conducted including those related to child rearing, culture and arts, sports, and environment. The Tama Volunteer and Civic Activities Support Center and the TAMA Women’ s Center in front of Seiseki-sakuragaoka Station also actively provides such information.

After the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011, we have increased programs and nurtures human resources to support the local communities with a focus on strengthening ties among neighbors. We use the local community centers as a base for community building, and make it available to citizens as a place they can use freely.Additionally, we hold various sports, culture, and art events in order to promote the creation of vibrant communities through interaction between citizens and with other communities.

　吹奏楽にあまり興味がない人でも楽しめるよう、演奏だけでなくダンスなども取り入れています。今後も多摩市の子どもたちがさまざまな経験ができるように活動を広げていきたいです。
